I could say that this was a busy month, but every month seems to be that.   It was good in the sense that this month brought opportunity to invest into some releationships with some other believers.  I should say, some have invested in me. I have been so very encouraged by a few ladies in our church and observing their testimonies and availability to befriend me and be of help.

It is such a blessing to see the college students back in their homes and at church. It is very evident that God is working in some lives.  We have had many visitors that have included brethern from our church, neighbors, college students, teens and family. It was good to be able to visit with some friends back at our our church as well.

The second Friday of the month, some of the high school gals from our church came over and we had a baking frenzy. Everyone seemed to have a good time. I know I sure did. It was so sweet to hear the girls singing praise songs as we made stuff. The stuff made was sweet too!!!
I was excited to receive a book that I have been looking to locate for 5 months now, DAKTAR 2 by Viggo Olsen, MD. It follows DAKTAR which was an excellent book!!!! If you are looking for a true (missions) story that is full of adventure and shares God working in the lives of individuals, this book is for you!!  If you are interested, you can follow this link:  kregel publishing on the internet and obtain a used copy for $5.00 - $10.00.  If you don't have the money, e-mail me and I will let you borrow one of my copies.

I have had 2 more attempts done on a root canal on tooth # 2 (top back).  My Denist says that she may be able to complete it during the next 2 hour visit in January. For my last visit, I sadated myself.

D shot a 3 pointer, during the student vs. teacher basketball game!!!  I guess the new shoes, and socks did help this year!!! Wish we got a picture!!

Our church had a wonderful Christmas Contata called "Welcome to our World".  It was good to see many visitors come in. Praying that God's word was taken seriously and applied.

I never did get all my Christmas Cards done. I like to use the cards to also write a bit of encouragement.  I honestly think I will have to start in July or something. I am beginning to wonder who started this tradition. I know I could find this information somewhere, but I really don't even have time to look. Probably because I have been using spare time to do Christmas cards!

This month has been one of many colds being passed from D to S to me to D to S to me and so on and so on. Get the picture?  S currently is recovering from ear infections and respirtory distress. She is doing better. If my current cold (bronchitis) is not cleared up by the New Year, I will be making a trip to the Doctor again.  Funny, I usually am able to get time to rest up with a cold, but this last two weeks have not been much physical rest.

S receive many things from the family Christmas on D's side of family. I think she was overwhelmed. She is a running toddler!!!! She is talking much and actually makes sense?!!!

My father brought my mother up for Christmas Day. It was good to see them be able to get out and visit.  For Christmas our water turned merky/brown and black with much sediment in it. We have well water. My father was determined to try to fix the situation. Well two days later with the arrival of my brother and his wife ( a house full of people), the problem was still not remedied even with a new pressure chamber and filters.  On the advice of a well specialist, D will be pumping out approx. 1000 gallons of water tomorrow (12/30) to see if the rest of the sludge will come out. As of now, we really are hestitant about using the water for anything other than flushing the toilet. And still, we have to sit back and give God thanks,  praise and the glory for this too, knowing that He is using this as part of "all things" working together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose..." - Romans. 8:28

The whole idea of having certain expectations for Christmas is one I have come to grips with. Let's just rejoice that God was incarnate into a man. Jesus Christ born!!!! Without Him, no life, Without Him, no grace. Without grace, no faith. Without faith, no hope. Without hope..........nothing. Though Jesus Christ - eternal life. Through Jesus Christ, a transformed life. Through Jesus Christ, everything  (2 Peter 1:2-8)

We will be bringing in the New Year with our church family. Maybe Christ will return at the stroke of 12:00??
If not, the next update will be in 2001.
