Welcome to "The Original Collection".
My name is Jackie Wakeling, and this website is a pictorial journey through just a small sample of the many historical garments in my collection. Each link in this page will take you to a different category of clothing or accessories, and show you some of the more interesting pieces in my collection. Each piece selected for the web page was done so for a variety of reasons. Some because of the uniqueness of the garment, and some because of the historical significance of the garment. And of course, some, because I thought they were really neat!
Most of the sections are thumb nailed picture galleries that contain several pictures, and a brief description of the photos. Most of the thumb nails are linked to a picture page in landscape format for easier printing. Feel free to print off as many pages as you wish to get a closer look at each garment. The camera, as well as the computer screen sometimes do not show the detail of the original.
