| Greetings To 9th Motor Transport Members |
||||||||
| I was happy to see so many of our members at the Rapid City 2004 reunion. We started our meeting with the pledge of allegiance to the flag. A moment of silence was observed for our departed comrades of the 9th Motor. For our new business, Jack Luffy suggested that for future reunions we eat at a local restaurant instead of having our meal catered. Jack also suggested that within the next year or two we have all reunions at the same place in a central area. He volunteered to use St. Louis as a permanent meeting place. These suggestions were not agreed to at this time. For nominations of new officers a motion was made and seconded to keep the same officers for another year. Brian Lane as President and Jack Luffy as Secretary-Treasurer. For our 2005 Reunion, Bill and Susan Oswald volunteered to contact Jim and Jeanette Rush and search for a place on the east coast. Jim and Jeanette could not make the meeting this year and were missed by all who attended. Tom Payne thanked everyone for a good job done at Repaid City this year. We all wish Tom the best of luck with his health problems. The meeting was adjourned and we all had lunch and a piece of the wedding cake brought for Bill and Susan Oswald. Congratulations to the newly weds. We want to thank Arlen and Ardeth Lasley for volunteering to take the pictures this year. They turned out great and saved us all some money. Careful Arlen, this could be a full time job. That's about it for 2004 and may we all be here for 2005. . Brian Lane President |
