"SOCCER" was Leslie's sport of passion as a young athlete. She's shown here, in the spring of 1988, as a weary midfielder in the heat of battle during a hard fought game on Phil Good's BOBCATS of the Birmingham-Bloomfield Soccer Club

Leslie much enjoyed the theatre arts as a youngster. She's shown here in 1985 at age 6 in full make-up and regalia as she prepares for Halloween! Leslie also spent much of her spare time studying theatre, acting, and entertainment by watching television.

She also dabbled in 'face-painting' as an adjunct discipline of the theatre arts. During the 1988 Bingham Farms Elementary School Spring Fair, she donned a facsimile of a 'Ladybug'

A recent graduate (2001) of Michigan State University, Leslie spent one year working in the Education field at Birmingham Groves High School, where she also led the Novice Debate Team to great success, and then returned to East Lansing to begin the pursuit of her first graduate degree in Communications. Working as an instructor for undergraduate level classes, she is now spreading the wealth of her wisdom as well as absorbing more.

Leslie graduated from Birmingham Groves High School in 1997. Pictured at below is Chene Park outdoor theatre (at night) where her High School Graduation ceremony was held (NOT at night). She was so nervous that she threw-up just before we left the house for the event!

Pictured below is Leslie with her little sisters, Whitney (middle) and Holly (right) all behind their parents, Jack and Shelley Farquhar. This picture was taken during the summer of 2003 in the front yard of her home.
Here's Leslie being a little goofy in her car as she prepares to pack up and return to her apartment in East Lansing. She had JUST gotten her new bike and bike rack and was pretty excited to transport the new gifts back to school. Her car at this time (summer 2003), by the way, is a 1988 Honda Prelude. As of spring of 2004, she has over 178,000 miles on the darned thing... seems that it just won't die! She's always had the oil changed every 3000 miles and has taken most excellent care of it since taking over the wheel from her parents (Jack) in October of 2001.

Leslie is shown here, in 1982, as an apparent young children's catalog clothing model! She's featuring a lovely pink wool sweater over a bold oxford shirt and accompanied by the classic blue denim pants!
