This is a picture of my Mom and Dad taken in May of 1993 near the time of their 45th wedding anniversary.
Dad passed away on January 15th, of 1998 at the age of 70. He was a good guy and I miss him. Don't I bear a strong resemblance to him? I just wish I had his hair instead of mine!
Though it doesn't show from that old picture of me above, Dad had much better total "coverage" on his head than I do!
Mom lives at the home they built next to Lake Conroe in Texas, near my two sisters, Vickie and Linda, in the Houston area.
She's doing really well and is very active with her many friends in her neighborhood, as well as with her nearby family... In addition to Vickie and Linda, there's Linda's husband, Dan, and Linda's two grown children, Brian (wife Laura) and Kelly (husband Darrin Chippi). Brian has THREE boys (Sheldon, Samual, and Spencer) and Kelly has TWO girls (Nichole and Brooke)... so the greatgrandchildren are piling up too!

Lila LaVaye Stoops, born March 7th, 1930, was married to Donald Billy Farquhar, born November 23rd, 1927, near Morenci, Michigan on the spring day of May 1st, 1948.
Vickie, Linda, and Jack came along on January 15th, 1950,
July 14th, 1951, and April 2nd, 1957, respectively. I like to think they quit when they finally got it right!... but I think Vickie and Linda might have a different opinion. |
