Jack woke up the next day and realized how well he actually slept. It was pure joy having slept so peacefully and all. He sat up and thought a moment about what had happened the night before.
"I can't believe I actually kissed him" he thought to himself.
He got out of bed and went into the restroom to brush his teeth. Laughing to himself about how happy he was. He couldn't even believe how long it had been since he had actually been this happy. Noticing the door opening Jen walked in.
"Hey lover boy! {giggles} How did you sleep? she asked
"Hey Jen. I slept wonderful thank you very much. And if you don't excuse me now that I finished brushing my teeth.... I have to make a run to um the music store" Jack says bashfully.
"uh .... Jack I'm all for the new trends but I don't think your sweats will really be appropriate." she says matter of factly.
Jack looks down at himself and blushes. He goes in his room throws on a pair of jeans and a polo and spins for Jen's approval.
"How do I look Madame?" he says jokingly.
"I say you look absolutely fabulous now run along and have some fun there dear boy" she says and pretends to take a cigarette out of her mouth.
"ta ta dear Jen" he says hurringly and runs out the door.
Jack decides to walk to the music store since its Capeside and nothing is really ever "far away" besides he needed the exercise and it was a beautiful day. He goes through the park remembering what he talked about with Tobey and all. He then walks in to the mall and heads straight for the music store. {Tobey's work}
He goes to the desk and sees a clerk.
"Um excuse me but do you know where Tobey Barrett is?" he asked.
"Oh yeah, he is in the back do you want me to go get him for you?" the clerk asked.
"If you would" Jack said sheepishly.
The clerk goes in the back and Jack starts to look around in the Pop section. When all of a sudden Tobey comes up behind him. He taps him on the shoulder.
" I really think you should choose O-Town but if you like Brine Spears than..." he says jokingly.
Spins around "Tobey! hey how are you? " he says kind of nervously.
"Great I uh... can't stop thinking about last night." he says.
"Yeah I know what you mean it was pretty awesome." Jack says as he grins.
"Hey, I was just about to go on my lunch break. Do you want to join me? Tobey says with anticipation.
"I'd love to" Jack says as they walk out the store.
They go to the food court and are choosing what they want to eat.
"So what did you have in mind" Jack said.
"Uh, usually I get Wendy's but if you want something else than I'm for it." Tobey said.
Jack says "Heck as long as I'm with you nothing really matters.
Realizing what he said Jack's eyes widened afraid of Tobey's reaction. Tobey senses Jack's uncomfortableness and reassuringly says "Jack it's ok it was sweet of you to say that.
Jack looks up and smiles "really?"
Tobey laughs "really, Hey why don't we go out side I mean it's kind of stuff in here don't you think?"
Jack looks sort of relieved "yeah sure whatever"
They walk out of the food court and out of the mall. They go the benches in the "Mall Garden" and sit down.
" So Jack...I just want to say thank you for last night. It was wonderful and amazing. I never expected it to be honest" Tobey implied.
Jack said " Your welcome I'm glad I came of service {laughs} so where do we stand? I mean is this a relationship or what?
"I should hope so or I would be totally wasting my lunch hour on you" Tobey says.
"Ha. I'm sorry I'm taking up your time." Jack said jokingly.
"Nah.. your not really. I like having a boyfriend it means I can do things like this.
He leans in and kisses Jack soft at first but more passionate as it goes. They realize they are in a public place and stop and start laughing.
"Hey Jack, lets get outta here." Tobey said.
Jack replied "I'd like that.
They walk off hand in hand toward the sun with the beautiful clouds looking just like a picture.
