This story is driven by the characters of Colonel Jack O'Neill and Doctor Daniel Jackson in the television series Stargate SG-1. By depicting these characters in loving homosexual relations, the Author is no way reflecting her thoughts or opinion on the lives and personalities of the men who portray these characters on screen. No such inference should be detected in this piece of non-profit writing.
This story was started around mid-2002 when I started to watch the US version of Queer as Folk. I was also reading several gay fictions at the time that painted homosexuality as a less than rosy bed of thorns sometimes. This was the kind of story I wanted to capture here. Therefore, you will find the guys behaving in ways that may not have been depicted before but run parallel with many gay fiction relationships.
Be warned, Jack is not saving himself for Daniel (hence the Jack/other males note on this story). Also know that Daniel is not saving himself for Jack. Rest assured though, this is a JackDaniel's fic (eventually) but it's more heavy on the angst of 'getting there' than on the blossom of 'being there'. I hope that it doesn't disgruntle you.
There is nudity and full sexual encounters within this story.
This story is set throughout Season Four so it's FULL OF SPOILERS as I try to incorporate episodes and the relationship strain as it appeared on our screens at the time. I have listed which episode is dealt with at the top of each part (if there is episode mention in that part).
There is provision for feedback at the bottom of each page - if you feel the need. I'd appreciate it. This was one of the hardest fics I have written because I wanted to take the men someplace I'd never taken them before. You're not obliged to send feedback however.
The original characters of Stargate belong to the PTB who own all the Rights and get all the money and get to play with the characters for real. I'm just playing with my version of these guys - as I believe they belong together and we won't see that on our screen.
