My Favorite Animated Characters
Hey, we all have our favorite characters
from childhood etc. that we tend not to forget.

Kovu
Kovu co-starred in Disney’s
Lion King 2. I thought he was one of the
best heroes of the Disney movies. He was
‘chosen’ by Scar to destroy Simba and re-take the Pride
lands. Indoctrinated by his mother to do
this by getting close to Simba’s daughter, Kiara- but there was a problem, Kovu
liked Kiara, and started to doubt all the ‘good’
things that he ws told Scar was, realizing that these
were lies. His previous intentions were discovered, and he was banished from the Pride
lands. Kiara
ran away from home, reunited with him and they decided to head back to stop the
battle between the Pride Landers and the Outlanders.

James
James is the male half of Team Rocket from Pokčmon. I haven’t watched this show for a while and
thought I should include him…so lay off!!! Anyway, I liked James because though he’s an idiot, he still keeps trying his hardest…which is trying
to steal the Pokčmon.

Hades
Hades was the main villain from Disney’s Hercules. Despite his hot temper, he is a rather cool
customer that talks a mile-a-minute.
Hades despised being Lord of the Underworld, so he hatched a plot to
dethrone Zeus by releasing the Titans.
He turned Hercules mortal so he could be killed,
because the Fates told him that if Hercules fought, he would lose. But his minions
couldn’t finish the job, just making him mortal (but with super strength). Later in his adulthood, Herc
then stops his plot and uppercuts Hades in the river

Cell
Cell is the 2nd to last major villain in Dragon Ball Z. Cultivated from cells of the most powerful
warriors, this biological horror terrorized the people of Earth- first in an
alternate time-line, then the past to achieve Total Perfection (pictured
above), which is gained when he absorbs two cyborgs
(Androids #17 and #18). His reign of
terror finally ended when Gohan, with the help of the
other Z-Warriors, vaporized him in a Kamehameha
duel. What I liked about him is how
cocky and level headed he is…and how hard he is to
terminate: as long as a single cell is left over from a battle, he can
regenerate his whole body.

Jafar
Ah, good old Jafar. The villain in the good Disney classic,
Aladdin, Jafar was the Royal Vizier (Advisor) to the Sultan. Not physically powerful, but rather uses a
hypnotic staff to mesmerize and get the Sultan to do what he wants. He wishes for the lamp (no pun intended), so
that he can rule as Sultan. He dupes
Aladdin into doing this, but it backfires on him. He later gets his hands on the lamp and
becomes…Sultan. Then, he wished to
become a Sorcerer to deal with those that didn’t obey
him. (Why he didn’t wish to become a sorcerer in the
first place and take the throne by force and not waste a wish is beyond me.) Anyway,
he then uses his third wish to become a Genie…which is
exactly what Aladdin wanted. Now Jafar is trapped in a lamp.
In Return of Jafar…he, uh, returns. He tries to destroy Aladdin, Aladdin
destroys his lamp and he’s dead.

Rika
One of my favorite characters in the 3rd season
of Digimon (the best season), Rika at first used her
partner Renamon (see below) just to fight with and didn’t really seem to care
about her unless Renamon was becoming stronger.
However, she then realized that Renamon and she as equals- Renamon would
only get strong if Rika was with her.
Her overall personality is that of a lone wolf, but as I said, she
realizes teamwork extends to her friends as well as Renamon.

Renamon
One of the coolest Rookie level Digimon (yes, partly
because she’s a fox), Renamon is the partner to Rika,
who at first though that Digimon were meant to fight- that was their only
purpose. However, Renamon changed that
outlook and she and Rika are inseparable-that is, until Digimon couldn’t support themselves on Earth (it was practically
rejecting their existence) and had to return to the digital dimension until
they reconfigure themselves to once again enter this dimension.
