To start off with here are some facts if you are new. Fingerboards are pretty much exact replicas of the real thing. Real Grip Tape, Metal Trucks and Axles, Adjustable Trucks, Rubber Bushings, Removable Axle Nuts, Replaceable Wheels and Miniature skate tools. They are also available with the board designs you see real skateboards with. Tricks can be performed on these boards by usining your fingers to direct the board in different directions. Completing these tricks is what this website is dedicated to.
The Bottom design
There are over 200 fingerboard designs available from Tech Deck licensed by skateboard brands such as: A-Team, Birdhouse, Black Label, Blind, Chapman, Creature, Element, Flip, Foundation, Hook-Ups, Maple, New Deal, Santa Cruz, Toy Machine, Workshop, World Industries, Zero, and Zoo York.
Fingerboard Features
There are two different types of fingerboards. There is the original one and then there is the concave design. The original one is flat in while the concave design has grooves that fit nice with your fingers. I have both styles and I prefer the concave one. Don't go by what I say though, make the decision on your own by trying out a friends or by two different kinds. They don't cost much especially if you go to KB toys. Another different feature is the wheels. There are two different wheel designs. The original and the durometer wheels. If you are going to get a board get one with durometer wheels. These wheels ride much more smoothly and don't squeek like the original ones.
Tips
The package does come with skatetools which include a mini screw driver and a nut tightener. The screw driver is really bad and can strip away the screws of your board. To avoid this use a really small philips head screwdriver. Another tip is to adjust the trucks on the kingpin. The trucks may come off balance and you may need to level them. If the kingpin is bent (it happens i know) bend it back with pliars.
