Darkness for the Sakura
(I don't own CCS, and I never will, so don't sue me!)
Sakura looked at the Clock Tower while her best friend Tomoyo-chan was taping her on video. "All right! Let's go! We've got a Clow Card to capture!" Sakura said pointing her index finger at the clock tower.

"Yeah! That's the spirit" Kero-chan smiled.

Sakura called upon the fly card, and rode on her wand with Kero-chan trailing behind her. Suddenly, time started to slow down, and then *whoosh* they were back on the ground with Tomoyo-chan video taping them again!

"Kero-chan. What's going on?" Sakura questioned.

"I'm not sure, let me think" Kero-chan replied.

"Hmph! You're really pathetic if you don't even know what this is!" Came a voice from the shadows.

"Who's there?!" Kero-chan asked.

Realizing the voice, Sakura stopped Kero from doing anything..... bad. "It's okay, Kero-chan! It's just Syaoran-kun!"

"So?" Kero-chan retorted. "He shouldn't even be here!"

"Well, for your information, I'm here to get the Clow card!" Syaoran said.

"See! I told you he was no good!" Kero-chan said.

"Oh, shut-up you stuffed animal!" Syaoran swatted Kero-chan away like he was a fly.

"What did you call me?! That's it I'm gonn-"

"Kero-chan! Syaoran-kun! That's enough!" Sakura interrupted Kero-chan. " You two are acting like small children! We can talk about those things later, but right now, we have a Clow card to capture!

"Fine." Both Syaoran, and Kero-chan answered at the same time glaring at each other.

Sakura sighed. They finally stopped argueing. Now she'll be albe to get the Clow Card. "Um... Syaoran. I've tried to get to the Clock Tower, but it won't work..... everytime I try I somehow end up down here on the ground again!" Sakura explained the situation to Syaoran.

"It's the TIME card. It can change time. So if you try to fly there, you'll just automatically end up back down here again." Syaoran explained with ease.

"Oh, so lets use the main entrance!" Sakura said as she dragged Syaoran by his arm to the bottom of the Clock Tower.

As they were making their ascent, they could hear the tick tock of the Clock Tower perfectally. They climbed the stairs two at a time for about ten minutes, which seemed like ten hours, and finally reached the top. Then they saw it! The TIME card. It was sitting wearing a long dark green cloak covering most of it's body. The only thing they saw other than the cloak, was the face, and hands of the card, and an hourglass.It was holding the hourglass in it's old wrinkly hands.

"There it is!" Sakura shouted getting her wand out to caputre it. "Oh key of Clow,"

"No! Not yet!" Syaoran, and Kero-chan screamed in unison, but it was too late, Sakura had already summoned the wand, and was just about to capture it, when the blast that came from her wand reflected off of the TIME card, and knocked Sakura into the wall causing her to bump her head.

"Sakura! Sakura are you okay?" Syaoran asked her.

"I told you not to try and capture it right away, it's still too powerfull! You need to have it weakened!" Kero-chan lectured.

"Oh no! The TIME card's trying to escape!" Tomoyo cried out bringing every one's attention back to the card.

"Uh! Force, know my plight, release the light! Lighting!!" Syaoran yelled out while lightning surrounded the TIME card preventing it's escape.

"Sakura! Hurry! Capture it!" Kero-chan yelled.

"Right!" Sakura answered. "Oh key of Clow, power of magic, power of light, surrender the wand, the force ignite. Release!" Sakura chanted as her wand appeared again in her hand and she coninued. "TIME! Return to your power confined! TIME!" Sakura finished as the card with TIME came floating down towards Syaoran. As she turned to look, she suddenly felt woozy, and then everything went black.

"Sakura? Sakura? are you all right? Sakura! Sakura wake up!" Sakura heard voices calling out to her name as she finally gained consciousness.

"Hmmm. I don't want to wake up now..... I'm still tired..... and besides.... it's still dark." Sakura mumbled while she moved around in a bed. Wait! A bed! That couldn't be right! The last thing she remembered was blacking out after the battle with the TIME Card! She opened her eyes, but everything was black.

"Hey, are you awake now?" A gentle voice came from above her, which she quickly realized as to be Syaoran's voice.

"Yes. I still feel a little bit dizzy, but that's it. Where am I?" She asked.

"You're at my place." He anwered.

"Oh." Sakura blushed at the fact. "Um Syaoran, it's kinda dark. Can you please turn on the light?" Sakura asked Syaoran. Even though all she could see was darkness, it was almost like she could "feel" what Syaoran was feeling. And she prepared for the worst, for she knew what was coming next.

"Sakura..... the light...... it is on...." Syaoran said. The words hit her like cannonballs. Direct, and painfull. Sakura started crying. Little sobs at first, but they got heavier the more she thought about it. She was blind. She wouldn't be able to do anything. She couldn't stop crying after that.

Then, all of a sudden, she felt a hand on her shaking shoulder. A warm, and comforting hand. Then, she felt another weigth next to her on the bed, and the arm wrapped itself around her, and puled her closer to the person next to her, in a hug. In this embrace, she felt warm, and safe, and most of all, she felt love. A love that she has never felt before. She wanted to stay in this embrace forever. Slowly, her crys  went from a storm, to a small sob.

                                                *******

"Shhhhhh..... it's okay, don't worry...." Syaoran kept on repeating trying to calm the small girl in his arms.

Normally, she was a happy girl jumping about looking like she doens't have a worry in the world. But now, she looked pale, and fragile in his arms. Like she would break just by a slight touch. She didn't look a bit like the genki little girl at school. He touched her wet tear-stained face, and found it surprisinly hot. Suddenly the little body in his arms crumpled, and was limp. When Syaoran looked down, he found that she had passed out. He then felt he forehead, and quickly drew his hand back, for her head was burning hot. She had a high fever. He layed her back down in the bed, and then he quickly got a cold, wet, towel to put on her forehead. He also got a thermometer to test her tmperature.

                                                *******

When  he took the theremometer out, he saw that she had a temperature of 101.2. He got more blankets for her, and brought a chair over to the bed and watched her through the night.

                                                *******

When Syaoran woke up, he checked on Sakura, and saw that she looked much better. The color of her face was now a peachy color, instead of the pale white it was last night. And she had some pink on her cheeks. He checked her temperatuere again, and it had reduced to 99.5. Syaoran was relieved when he saw that. Now, he should just wait for her to wake up.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ End Part Two ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She looked so kawaii when she sleeps, he thought. So peaceful. Sakura looks just like an angel. His angel.
"mmmm...." Sakura mumbled something that Syaoaran wans't able to hear.
Then her eye liks fluttered open. Then he remembered, that she wasn't able to see anymore. He made a mental note to take her to a doctor when her fever went away.
"Good morning Sakura." Syaoran said to Sakura.
"Why is it so dark?" Sakura asked. Then remembering last night, she froze. "Right. I forgot. I can't see anymore." Her face stiffened as she tried to sit up, but was only pushed back by a strong and forceful, but yet soft, and gentle hand.
"You should rest. You had a fever last night of 101.2. You're better now. Just rest here while I make breakfast." Syaoran said as he left. Sakura was able to hear the click, click of his boots from the battle. He still hasn't changed into his slippers yet, Sakura thought. He was here all the time looking after me.
Soon, after about ten minutes, Sakura could smell scrammbled eggs, and pancakes from the kitchen. But she wasn't hungry. She didn't want to eat anything, but knowing Syaoran-kun, he'd probably would make her eat it no matter what. He's just as stubborn as Kero-chan. Sakura thought to herself, and then smiled a little.
"Okay. Breakfast is ready Sakura." Syaoran said as he happily waltzed into the room holdint the plate of food for Sakura. "Here, you need to eat something." Syaoran said calmly while placing the plate of food on the dresser nearby. He sat down next to Sakura on the bed, and brought the food to Sakura's lips. "Eat." Syaoran said as he brought the food closer to her lips.
"Syaoran-kun. I can feed myself." Skakura complained.
"No, Sakura. I think that it's best that I feed you now, you're still weak. Now eat." He commanded. It wasn't a harsh command, but just one that says you're not going to get out of this. Knowing this, Sakura opened her mouth a little bit wider, and Syaoran gently put the food in her mouth.
Sakura chewed slowly, thinking about what would happen to herself, the cards, and kero-chan.
After she finally finished her breakfast, which took only an hour, she layed back down on the bed. It was must of been torture for Syaoran-kun to do that, Sakura thought. But really, Syaoran didn't mind. He waited paitiently while Sakura finishes one mouthful, and then he brings more food into her mouth.
Finally, Sakura brought herself up a little, but was pushed back down by Syaoran. "What is it Sakura? If you need something, I can get it for you. I don't want you to stress yourself." Syaoran said sweetly.
"Syaoran." Sakura finally called out.
"Yes?" Syaoran asked.
"What will happen to the cards, and Kero-chan? Im blind, and I can't possilbly capture any cards now." Sakura said.
"I don't know what will happen to Kero, or the cards, Sakura. But everything hapens for a reason. And we'll find the reason for this soon. I promise." Syaoran said, and sealed the promise with a kiss on Sakura's forehead. He watched her blush a deep crimson, and then he smiled inside.
"Don't worry. We'll go see the doctor tomorrow if you're up to it, okay?" Syaoran asked.
"Really?" Sakura asked excitedly.
"Yes." Syaoran answered, and was surprised by Sakura's action after that. With all the strength she could muster, she jumped into Syaoran's arms, and gave him a big hug, her arms around his neck. He was quite taken aback, but he didn't move from his place. He was savoring the moment with his Sakura. Her skin touching his. Then he suddenly felt her breath upon his neck, and up to his ear.
"Arigatou Syaoran-kun." She whispered into his ear, and fell asleep in his arms, from the jump.
"Your welcome, my Sakura." Syaoran said, and this time, he laid a deep passionate kiss on her lips. "Sleep well."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ End Part Three~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Syaoran. Wake up. Wake up Syaoran!" Sakura said as she shook Syaoran... or so she thought. In reality, she was shaking a pillow that she thought was Syaoran... while the real Syaoran sat in the chair that was placed next to the bed stifling his laughter. It was hard holding in his laughing, seeing the smaller girl shaking a pillow thinking it was someone. And then, suddenly all his mirth turned into sadness as he thought about Sakura's position right now. It must be hard for her. She's probably scared, cause she can't see, and thinks that something must have happened to me, Syaoran thought.

So he then put a hand on Sakura's shoulder, which startled the smaller girl, but she didn't move. "Syaoran! Where are you?" Sakura called out into the darkness. "I'm right here." Syaoran said while he pulled Sakura to him, holding the smaller girl to him, her tears soaking his shirt. "I'm sorry for doing that, Sakura..." Syaoran whispered into Sakura's ear.

"It's- it's okay... really... i-it's a-actually m-my f-f-fault. I should n-n-never of tried to c-capture the TIME c-card so s-soon..." Sakura said in between sobs.

"Shhhh... it's okay... it's okay.... shhhh....it's okay..." Syaoran kept on repeating . He calmed Sakura down a little bit, but then she started crying harder. Syaoran looked down at Sakura and he just couldn't stand to see her crying like that. He put his finger gently under her chin, and lifted her chin up, so that he could see her face, that was now tear stained once again.
"Syaoran-kun..."Sakura said in a voice that was barely above a whisper.

"Sakura... shhhh..."Syaoran cooed in a voice that he has never used before with anyone else. It was a kind, soft, and gentle voice.

"Syaoran....I-I was so scared... I th-thought that so-something happened to you..." Sakura cried out, still sobbing.

"It's all right. I won't go anywhere. I'll be here. Don't worry Sakura. I won't leave you.... I love you." Syaoran promised Sakura.

Sakura gasped in disbelief. Then her expression changed form a shocked face to a releaved smile. And then she saif the four words that would make him happy forever. "I love you too." And she rested her head on his chest.

Suddenly, a bright light glowed from them both, and thn they were engulfed by the light. Syaoran held Sakura closer, and tighter as he saw a figure approach. At first, he didn't recognize it... but then, it dawned on him. It was Clow Reed himself.

"Hello Syaoran, hello Sakura." He said to the both of them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~End Part four ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"C-clow Reed?" Syaroan whispered.
"Yes, Syaroan. It's me." Clow Reed said.
"What are you doing here?" Sakura turned to Clow Reed, and somehow, she was able to see him! She was able to see again!
"Syaoran-kun!" I, I can see!" Sakura gasped.
"That's wonderful." Syaoran smiled.
"But...... how did that happen?" Sakura said out loud.
"It's because of your love towards Syaoran." Clow Reed said calmly.
"But, why?" Syaoran  asked.
"You said yourself that everything always happen for a reason. Well, you were right Syaoran. So what happened with the TIME card was to show Sakura, and you yourself Syaoran, the love that you both felt. Now, you have your sight back, and you both earned each other's trust, and love." Clow read said.
"But why does that matter?" Syaoran asked.
"Sakura became blind, because she wouldn't see what her heart told her. Snd if she continued to do that, then the cards won't listen to her either. The cards won't listen to someone who has a doubtful heart." Clow read answered.
"Oh." Both Sakura, and Syaoran said at the same time, as they both blushed. Clow Reed just smiled at the cute scene.
Then the light suddenly started to fade away, and the only thing that could be heard was Clow Reed's voice echoing,"Keep your love, for it is a beautiful thing to share, but could also be a monster. Be true to each other!"
Once the light reduced all the way, everything went black for both Syaoran and Sakura.
"Huh?" Sakura mumbled as she opened her eyes to see a sleeping Syaoran next to her. She could see. "So it wasn't a dream...." Sakura gasped. She sat up, and looked down at the still sleeping Syaoran. She couldn't help but push back the small lock of hair that was covering his eye. She smiled and placed a small kiss on his forehead, which made him move a little. Then, he opened his eyes, looked up at Sakura, and smiled.
"Good morning Sakura." Syaoran said.
"Good morning Syaoran-kun." Sakura replied. "You look happy." She said.
"Yeah, I am. I'm happy that you're able to see again." Syaoran answered, and sat up as well.
"Arigatou Syaoran-kun." Sakura thanked.
"For what?" Syaoran asked.
"For taking care of me when I wasn't able to see." Sakura answered.
"You're Welcome." Syaoran replied, and pulled Sakura to him into a hug.
Then they layed down on the bed, still hugging each other. Then Saskura moved to a more comfortable position, her head right below his chin.
Syaoran played around with Sakura's hair for a while, and then he looked down at Sakura straight into her eyes. "I love you Sakua." Syaoran said in a gentle tone.
"And I love you too." Sakura replied, and leaned upward tokiss Syaoran. Syaoran returned the kiss as well.
                                                   The End
Ruby's notes:
Arigatou gozaimasu means either thank you very much, or thank you in a polite way.
Okay, okay, I know, I know. They don't go to school, and Sakura's dad, and brother aren't even mentioned. Why? I already said in the page before, that they were not gonna be here.... okay, lets think of ann excuse *flips through her book of excuses* okay, this is a good one. They were away on a vacation! Oh, wait, then Sakura would of have went along as well... but you get the drift. Her father, and brother are somewhere, and they know that she's safe. And.... um.. it's summer in this fic.... I did say that the fic was mine, and not the anime! So if the fic is mine, then it's summer!!!!!
This was my first fic started on August 14th, and finished August 16th. I think that this is a pretty good one for a first. I'm actually very proud of this fic. I'm satisfied!
