The Life of Jack Robinson

The Life and Works from Jack

Delete What?

With only one item on the menu, and I want it gone.

You would think my computer would just go along.

It doesn’t work that way, it insists I make a choice.

It doesn’t cooperate no matter how I raise my voice.

When I have only one item why should I choose?

I guess it doesn’t matter either way I won’t lose.

It’s not a difficult task when I can remember.

I have threatened it with a bat or piece of timber.

I should be able to hit the correct button with ease,

If I would but take my time and try to please.

When I have a message I would like to rid.

I should keep my temperament under the lid.

People tell me their computer is rather smart.

I say it is just a machine that has no heart.

As for intelligence, it only does what you tell it.

Sometimes it does things that give me a fit.

Maybe I hit the wrong button with the other hand.

As sometimes it does things without my command.

I still don’t know why. I must tell it which should go.

If there is only one, if it’s smart, It should know.
