The Life of Jack Robinson

The Life and Works from Jack

Man-kind

I Have little to do with my time.
I often sit around and try to rhyme.
Sometimes I sit and wonder about mankind.
Many claim to have brilliant mind.

I can think of no other animal that will kill.
When it seems all they can gain is the thrill.
They claim to be at the top of the food chain.
They flaunt their apposing thumbs and developed brain.

I believe, as I am contemplating  this writing.
If those who start the wars did the fighting.
There would be more serious negotiating at the table.
And maybe more countries could keep their young and able.

It seems to me that with such a brilliant mind.
That men could find a way to be more kind.
Maybe as we gloat and pat ourselves on the back,
We should contemplate on the qualities we lack.
