Brothers Jack and Don
In Memory of My Beloved Brother
As written by Donald M. Hale Sr.
As a brother and member of the Hale family, I am truly sorry that I
could not be with you today.
Due to Aunt Judy's illness, I must stay here with her.
To my brother Bill and sister Mary Jane, I am thinking about you in
my prayers for our brother Jack.
I wish I could be there to hold your hands and pray for our beloved brother
whom we will always love.
Jackie, it is now time to rest. God has taken the hardships of this
life from you.
Rest now as Mom, Dad and our brother Jim will be waiting for you as God
takes you to the Kingdom of Heaven.
I would like to share a poem I have written for my brother.
You can shed tears that Jack is gone or, you can open your eyes and
see all the memories he has given us in 71 years
Your hearts can be empty because you can't see him, or, you can be full
of the love we shared with him
You can turn your back on tomorrow and re-live yesterday, or you can
be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
We can remember only the fact that Jack is gone, Or we can cherish his
many fine memories.
You can cry and close your mind, or you can rejoice in his life
We can be empty and turn our backs, or we can do what he would have
wanted us to do, give him a BIG SMILE and with love in our eyes and
hearts……………go on
A final prayer for my beloved brother:
God the creator and redeemer of all the faithful grant the soul of your
servant Jack the forgiveness of his sins, and that our devout prayers may
obtain the pardon which they always desired. AMEN
We will truly miss you Jack – with all our love, Don, Julia and the
rest of the our family
It was at this time I added this final farewell to Jack Alfred Hale,
Jr.
