Second, we need to run a special tool designed to remove a specific kind of adware/spyware called Cool Web Search. Cool Web Search is by far one of the worst malicious programs out there, some Anti Virus products even detect it as a trojan. CWShredder is a small tool designed to identify and remove this deadly pest.

Once you start CWShredder, you will be presented with the main screen pictured below.
Click the "Fix ->" button in the lower right, close all Internet Explorer windows and hit OK to let it begin scanning. It will run down through a list, searching for any of the many variants of the trojan on your computer. When it is finished, click the "Next" button to see the report of what it found on your computer and the result. Once it has finished, move on.
