Francis D. Rock

Francis  D. Rock (Frank)-Born Sep 1887 in Bridgeport Ct. Francis Rock married Sarah Ellen Carey (see Carey) abt. 1914 in Waterbury Ct.  They had three children: Ann Gertrude, Frances and John Francis.  After graduating from high school Francis went to Bridgeport College where he was an outstanding football player.  After college Frank worked for the American Chain Company.  Francis then moved to Waterbury Ct. where he worked for Barlow’s Sheet Metals and played semi-professional football for the Mulligan Blues Football Team .  This was a time before the NFL and local football teams where how the sport progressed.  The Mulligan Blues were one of the strongest teams in New England.    Francis died before 1946 in Waterbury Ct.

Ann Gertrude Rock - Born 9 Aug 1915 in Waterbury Ct.  Ann married John Luddy Burke (see Burke) 22 Jan 1943 in Waterbury Ct.  John and Ann's witnesses were John's sister Noreen Connelly and Ann's brother John Rock.  Ann graduated from St. Mary's School 23 June 1929.  Ann graduated from Crosby High School and went to Hair Dressing School in Bridgeport Ct.  After graduating from hairdressing school she opened a beauty shop at 821 North Main Street in Waterbury Ct.  After having her child she left the business world.  Ann died 10 Oct 1990 in O'fallon Mo. and was buried next to her mother at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Watertown, Ct. No. 307 section 1.  Ann and John had one child:

Frances Rock-Born 12 Feb 1920 in Waterbury Ct. Frances married Victor Larson abt. 1946 in Waterbury Ct. Frances lived her life at 25 Perkins ave. in Waterbury.  Frances and Victor had two children:

 Linda-Born abt 1950 in Waterbury Ct.

   John Francis Rock-Born 1 Dec 1925 in Waterbury Ct. John Married Emma Becker (b.19 Sep 1926) 1946. John was in the Army during the Second World War and recalled for Korea.  After graduating from high school John became a pressman and worked for the Waterbury Republican Newspaper until his retirement.  Children:

      Judith Ann Rock - Born 20 Apr 1947 in Waterbury Ct. Judith married Keith Richard Reinhard 15 Dec 1965. They had two children. Judith divorced Keith.  Judith Remarried Harold L. Collins 25 Jun 1976.

          Kimberly Ann Reinhard b. 15 Apr 1966

          Keith Richard Reinhard b.8 Jul 1968.

        Sandra Ellen Rock - Born 26 Aug 1949 in Waterbury Ct. Sandra married Mark Earl Wagner 4 Jul 1970.  Sandra and Mark had two children:

          Jennifer Ann b. 7 Aug 1974

          Kristen Margaret b. 20 Oct 1976

          Mark Earl, Jr. 7 May 1980.

        John David Rock - Born 13 Jun 1950. Johnnie was a favorite of his Aunt Ann.  Johnnie died 16 Sep 1984.

  Richard Carey Rock - Born 1 Oct 1952. Richard married Marilyn Louise Flood 1 Oct 1978. Richard and Marilyn had two children:

         Kathryn Elizabeth b, 1 Jun 1981

         Christopher David b. 7 Apr 1984.

        Kenneth Edward Rock  - Born 22 Sep 1954. Kenneth married Geralyn Nunzisnto 18 Sep 1976. Kenneth and Geralyn had two children:

         Brian James b. 9 May 1983

        Megan Lynne b 24 May 1987.

       Margaret Ann  Rock - Born 3 Apr 1959. Margaret married John Lockley Baker 31 Aug 1984.  Margaret and John had 4 children:

         Mary Margaret b. 15 Apr 1987

         John Arnold b. 18 Jan 1989

         Matthew Lockley b. 3 Apr 1991.
