Activity 9: Field Trip-Water Resources

In this activity we will be taking a field trip to the Mer Bleu Bog, and looking at the effects of pollution on the ecosystem. Answer the following questions as you see example while walking along the trail. Extreme caution should be taken by all students, and no one will be allowed to venture off of the trails.

1. List any sources of pollution that are visible.

2. Are there any visible impacts on the ecosystem.

3. Have any actions been taken in the area to treat the pollution.

4. Why do you think contaminated water is flowing out from the large domed hill?
