Subject: Salam Kenal - The Meaning of Life

It’s a surprise for me that a “new age” study group existed in Jakarta.  The following is my article in Dr. Scott Mandelker  website (was and comments from the readers.

May peace be always with us.

                         The Meaning of Life
                        A Message from Indonesia

Greetings from the One Infinite Creator, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

May peace be always upon us,

We all used to be one with the One Infinite Creator, which means we
all enjoyed an infinite degree of everything. No one felt inferior nor
superior, and there was no confusion because we had no limitations.

How many entities did the Infinite Creator make? Of course, it is an
infinite number, but we always felt ourselves as One, and never in
separation from the One. We saw the One Infinite Creator as Ar-Rahman,
(Arabic; meaning: "The Most Gracious, One Who shows mercy
freely to all creation without regard to effort") always giving
with unconditional love, seeing only one face because we were
infinite as the Creator. We received everything in an infinite degree
without doing anything.

So why are we now here in this finite world, this confusing reality?
Although the universe is as infinite, it is still seen by many to be finite,
as it depends on how we see it. We are all here to learn and experience the
opposite of infinity -- what is limitation, what is confusion.

And who instructed us to learn all this? We ourselves and the One Infinite
Creator taught us, because we were One in the beginning. Our thoughts were
His thoughts, His thoughts were ours, there was no separation.

But I think the initiator of this experience came from our side, as we
wanted to give Him something in return as a token of our unconditional love
to Him. In other words, it is of our own free will that we all have veiled
our most infinite abilities. But in separation, we found ourselves lacking
in the forms of beauty, powerful mind, great strength, unconditional love
and so forth.

We decided to evolve from nothingness and gradually move to higher
consciousness, to at last become one again with the One Infinite Creator.
The added value is in the many experiences we encountered along the way.

In other words, everyone is indeed successful in his or her mission, because
everyone experiences superiority, inferiority and confusion in some form.
Put another way, it is the experience of separation itself that is the added
value, something that never been experienced before. And these experiences
will be shared by all, because ALL IS ONE.

With this knowledge, I believe the End Time is near, very near. Let us
celebrate this end time with happiness, joy and especially in peace, because
in Creation, everyone wins and no one can lose.

Forgive ourselves, forgive others, and try to remember our original thoughts
-- we may always love each other, we aree infinite, and we are One.

Dear Jusuf:

Thank you, my brother, for your most inspiring words of peace and love.
Yes, it is true that the world seems ready to explode, but it is also true
that nothing we see is other than the One Creator exploring another way to
know Itself.  Variety is the hall mark of an infinite Creator.  It will be
very helpful in the days to come if we can all see the face of the Creator
in every face that we see.   May your journey continue to be blessed.

In Love & Light,

Jim McCarty
