| Gizmo is a long hair Chihuahua that came to the shelter neglected and abused. He had severe mange and was very scared and aggressive. He was sent to be euthanized but I made friends with him and took him to rehabilitate him and socialize him. He is now better with people, though still afraid of men. His hair has grown back and he is on a good diet with a fatty acid supplement and medicated shampoo. He is so loving to me and I hope to get him adopted to a good home! |
| Chiquita was adopted from The Humane Society of North Texas to a very nice family. She and her baby, Shiloh were a cruelty rescue. She was aged at about 3 years old. She is very sweet and timid. She is afraid of raised hands and loud voices. She shakes and pants during storms. She is such a loving dog it is hard to believe anyone could have been cruel to her. But her life will be better now!. |
| Brody is a Pit Bull and was a cruelty rescue, along with his mother, father and 3 siblings. One of the pups died of Parvo and Brody tested positive for it. He also had a severe upper respiratory infection and was under nourished.I took him to my office where he stayed for 2 weeks while on medication. When he was no longer contagious to my other babies, I took him home. He gets along great with them and is almost over his nagging cough. Pit Bulls are given a bad rap from people that don't realize that its the owner that makes them mean, but socialized and loved Pit Bulls are wonderful pets! I think they are the most mis-understood and cruelly treated of all the breeds. Brody's new owners love him dearly and have even adopted another Pit Bull for a pal! |
