CHAPTER 2 |

As soon as Jace walked outside of the dojo, he was confronted by how real the war was. He saw his comrades, those troops in the King's Guard, and he also saw the troops that were in the lower ranks of the King's Ratan, but Jace didn't see the enemy anywhere. He saw men fighting for their lives against some unknown force and was urged forward by his commitment to his fellow troops. As he ran forward to join the King's Guard, he saw many of the King's Regulars, fighting valiantly, but most dying horribly quick deaths. He didn't know what it was attacking the base, but he did know that whatever it was, it was very efficient and invisible as well. Jace looked back at the King's Guard, now fighting off swarms of invisible beings, and was filled with awe at seeing them fight. They were so well trained that even against invisible forces they had no casualties and were still relatively calm. He ran harder and faster wanting to help his friends as much as possible, but suddenly he stopped moving and looked down to realize that as impossible as it seemed, he was simply floating in midair. As soon as he looked down at his feet, he fell the small distance to the floor, still not understanding why he had been floating in the air a few seconds previously. However, once again looking up at his comrades and now seeing two or three casualties, he rushed forward, running as fast as he could to meet up with the King's Guard. As he neared the crowd he yelled out in a vicious battle cry and yanked his charge sword out of its sheath. He pressed the small red button on the hilt in order to charge the weapon with electricity and immersed himself in the combat. He was by far much better at combat than all his surrounding friends in natural talent and ability, but that day there was something more to his fighting. Almost as if a cloud or aura of power and speed encircled him and fueled him with some holy energy with which made it look to his surrounding comrades, as if he had superhuman skills, and seeing this, the troops of the King's Ratan began to see him as a hero and their moral rose to overflowing. Even the Regulars, who so previously had been dying in their struggle, now began to fight back harder and more viciously than before and began gaining some breathing space. Another yell erupted from the battle field, and many troops looked over to see Jace, standing in the middle of the camp by himself with his sword first going forward than backwards than to the sides and then it began moving so fast that it became a silver blur, trailing thin blue lines of whatever liquid was flowing through these creatures. Jace himself began to see his sword moving faster than he could have thought possible. First forwards than backwards than all around, puncturing body after body of these strange creatures which trailed blue blood. Soon as Jace was looking around past his immediate struggle, he began to see that all other troops had stopped fighting and were now standing and staring dumbfounded directly at him and his fight. But he didn't have time to think of that, there were weapons flying at him from all directions. He moved faster. Now Jace was seeing the outline of the creatures which looked to him as if they were some sort of dragon species, which wasn't really possible because the Pure Blood or the collaboration of the five races were completely faithful to each other. But he couldn't think that right now. Soon Jace could see exactly what it was that he was fighting. They weren't Dragons at all, but rather they were Dwarfdragons, who are of the Evil Line, perverted mixtures of the Dwarf and Dragon rebels. Dwarfdragons are magicians and also warriors. They have small dwarf like bodies, but in addition, they have huge dragon wings protruding from their shoulders and they also have gigantic tails. Besides those regular features, some Dwarfdragons also have large claws on their hands or other odd dragon and dwarf mixtures such as long pointy ears or a dragon snout or even in some cases, fangs. Most of the Dwarfdragons around him were White class. White and light green being the camouflaged colors on their bodies, these colors though, although seeming trivial, mean a lot in the Dwarfdragon ranks. Their magical ability and also physical skill level is based on the color of their skin. These particular White class Dwarfdragons were not very impressive because White class Dwarfdragons were the lowest worst of all Dwarfdragons. They simply had had the element of surprise on their side. These Dwarfdragons carried either a large war axe with them or sometimes a sword or another type of weaponry. And after a few minutes more of fighting them, Jace realized that they were using spells to make their molecular structure vibrate so fast that they were practically invisible. What they had not anticipated though, was Jace moving so incredibly fast that he caught up with their molecules and in fact made them look slow in comparison to himself. This realization was actually more surprising to Jace then it was to the Dwarfdragons, but once Jace let go of the initial shock at his own speed, he began to see how easily he was killing the Dwarfdragons. While their weapons still posed a threat, and still were fast enough that he had to parry and block many attacks, he was much faster and after about 20 block and strikes the entire attack squad was dispatched. When Jace finally stopped moving, he looked around at all the troops of the King's Ratan staring at him wide eyed and gap mouthed, and then looked down at the mound of White Dwarfdragon bodies at his feet and once he laid eyes on all those bodies, everything went black.
