Two Lefts is filled with tracks full of humor, from the completely pointless Gibberish to Mood Rings, a song that has a great solution for guys dealing with emotional girls (ah, the mood ring solves all the problems, doesn't it?), to the 80s tribute song, In Love With The 80s (Pink Tux To The Prom). And it's songs like Mood Rings and Chap Stick, Chapped Lips & Things Like Chemistry that have managed to get the attention of the mainstream because of the great mix of humor and clever wit.
But humor is certainly not the only tool used by Relient K to convey a message. They do, in fact, get rather serious at times. Songs like Getting Into You, Trademark and I Am Understood? get a bit more serious in their thoughts and offer listeners a chance to really sit back and think about the words. All in all, Two Lefts Don't Make A Right...But Three Do is a solid mix of serious thoughts and good humor throughout the disc. You will laugh, but you will also be able to think. That's something that few bands out there right now allow you to do. It's an impressive feat, and is one that will likely keep Relient K as a mainstay in the Christian realm and give them "the stuff" needed to break through in the mainstream as well.
