You can see from the photos how interesting and unusual this approach to photography is. The kite aerial photographer has actually� no true idea of what the final shot will be like. This is one of the attractions of the hobby to me...the mystery of the unknown, what is the photo going to turn out like. As you can see from these pictures these photographers verge on professional status even though they're not. Look at the horizon in most pictures. The absolute flatness of it and the picture compositions themselves...magnificent.
THESE photos where all taken with 35mm cameras of one type or another. Some seasoned kapers use heavy SLR's with interchangable lenses to get their desired results while others are experimenting with video cameras. Digital cameras are also used but not to the degree as the 35 format. You can see how KAP can get in your blood and become an obsession if you let it. Who would think the wind, a camera and a kite could produce such exquisite results?
