Agan the ball rebounded to him and still in his stride he let fly again with the right foot and the ball flashed past Bonetti into the Chelsea net.
West Ham v Sunderland
Martin scored for Sunderland in a 3-2 win away at West Ham. Anyone who can supply a description of the goal please email me.
Sunderland v Liverpool
In a 2-2 home draw against Liverpool, Martin scored one of the most unusual goals ever seen at Roker Park.Bringing the ball through from midfield he played a "one-two" with another Sunderland player but the return pass was overhit towards Liverpool keeper Tommy Lawrence. Martin had continued his run however and when Lawrence bent down to pick up the loose ball Martin slid in taking the ball through Lawrences legs into the goal!
Norwich v Sunderland
1-0 down and with time running out Martin came forward for a left wing corner taking up position around the penalty spot. The corner came straight to him at a fair speed and an awkward height. It was too low to head and too high to kick, however Martin leant back and pulled off a high volley on the full which rocketed into the Norwich net.A few minutes later while defending the Sunderland goal Martin sustained the injury which finished his football career.
