| Buffalo super hard rockers from the 70's, respesctfully called Australia's answer to Black Sabbath. This site is dedicated to the first 3 of the 5 albums that Buffalo released from 1972 to 1975!.This was the original Buffalo that had John Baxter as lead guitarist and co-song writer with Dave Tice the bands vocalist. Buffalo has been, let's say, sleeping for quite a few years now. But what of the members of Buffalo? Only two are still active rock n rollers from the original band line up; DAVE TICE with his many solo projects, such as his latest blues/ rock CD; LAY DOWN WITH DOGS , which is highly recommended! and Pete Wells with his solo projects and tours with ROSE TATTOO. Pete plays slide guitar with TATTs when touring but played magnificent base with Buffalo. JOHN BAXTER kept going for a while with his band BOY RACER but got sick of the grind and crap that went with trying to establish a new band and gave up, disappeared and became a Christian. End of his story, or is it? |

| NEW FROM JOHN BAXTER [2006] Hi, an up date is actually happening and this BUFFALO site and will be improved soon but try the links above for latest info on the band. I've got some new real cool pics to uplaod soon. Come back in a week or two to see. It's been sad for us that Pete Wells, Buffalo's and Rose Tattooe's bass and slide guitarist respectively passed away recently (March 2006). Pete's a legend of Aussie rock and will be remembered as one of the best. Pete was a power house bass player with the Buff's and even more the sound with Angry in The Tatts, with his dynamic and orginal style of all in electrictrifying slide playing. Pity it's come at a time when all the Buffalo albums are being officially re-released by Aztec Records, Australia. He was a pleasure to have known and worked with. Yes the old albums are finally being made easily available with the first three already released, hey hey and they're the ones I played on, and what a great package they are. Each album has a multi page booklet, plenty of pics and other stuff. Look I gotta go but I'll be back with more news real soon, honest! john baxter |
