TURBO JAV VII
INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY  GUIDELINES
REMEMBER SAFETY ALWAYS COMES FIRST
Despite Turbo Jav's obvious safety  benefits over a regular javelin, strict safety guidelines should be enforced to  ensure athlete's safety.
Athletes should be  instructed to:
Throw only when instructed to do so.
Collect only when instructed to do so.
Throw only in a defined area and only when this area is dear.
Never turn their back on another thrower
Never attempt to catch a Turbo Jav when it is in flight
NOTE: The safest place for those not throwing, is well  behind all throwers
Assembly  Instructions:
Screw the nose into the shaft section and tie tail onto the shaft section. It is very important that when  screwing on the nose and the tail section that the fit always remain tight Note:  Turbo Jav's were designed to have a very tight fit and will be difficult to  screw on. Turbo Jav's must be completely screwed on tight for maximum structural  strength. Place Turbo parts in hot water for approximately one two minutes and  this will make the assembly process much easier. Make sure to check your  connection regularly.
How to hold a Turbo Jav:
Turbo Jav VII has a unique system to  teach you hold to hold tile Turbo Jav properly. Just above the grip area you  will see a raised V and all the way down the grip is a raised dots. We call this  the Y system. If you open your hand, notice the crease, place the grip with the  dots face down into your hand, then rest your thumb and your index finger on the  raised V. Now bring your thumb and index finger down around the hip of the grip  as pictured below.
How to Throw a Turbo Jav:
1. The Turbo Jav should always be  held with the point facing forward and the fin section behind you. Place both  feet squarely on the ground about shoulder section apart with your toes facing  forward. Your entire body should also be facing forward. The Turbo Jav should be  held at head height and parallel to the ground. it should be directly beside  your eye, just above your ear. Your non- throwing arm should be pointing in the  direction that you are throwing.
2. Keeping the Turbo Jav  level and the point facing forward, the throwing arm is extended back. The  opposite arm is pointed in the direction of the throw. The non-throwing arm  starts to pull into the rib cage which initiates the right shoulder to rotate  and start the throw
3. In a smooth, continuous  action, the Turbo Jav is pulled forward and thrown over the shoulder.
Points to remember:
Hold the Turbo Jav properly
Feet planted firmly on the ground and body facing forward
Do  not lose control of the point, or bend elbow when drawing back
Do  not throw off to the side of the body
