The Escape

The air chilled as the wind died beneath the step of a woman clad in black. She was beautiful with that innocent touch of evil that anyone can catch in the corner of an eye. Her magnificent dark green hair reached her waist and she snapped her fingers that had black fingernails to decorate them.
"I see you have overcome Taketo with little to spare. Pity. I was hoping that he would leave me a challenge, but I must have figured his power much smaller than he showed. Now take your stand, I shall have some fun with your pain while it lasts." With the last sentence Lina had struggled to stand with the help of Daniel and she had formed a plan. It was simply stated with telepathy between Daniel and herself.
"Let's run. We have barely any power between the two of us and we're sure to lose. I just got you back, I don't want to go through that again so soon." Lina looked at him with pleading lavender eyes and he returned.
"Sure. Let's run. I was thinking the same thing, Angel." He smiled at Sumi as if he was going to take her challenge and she crossed her arms in response. Letting go of Lina to let her stand on her own he whispered words to her then faced Sumi in a fighting stance. Sumi glared at him with eagerness, waiting for his attack when he suddenly darted to the right as a surge of energy from Lina was released.
"Starzmic Blaze!!!" She pushed her arms forward with glowing fingers and a strong light overcame the darkness. The heat from the light was like the sun and Sumi was blinded. She covered her face with her arms in an attempt to keep out the light but the heat was strong and she wished it to be gone. As it started to fade and Sumi began to regain her sight she squinted her eyes to see Lina and Daniel were gone from where they once were.
Where are we going to go, Daniel? We dont know if this planet is even inhabited! Lina spoke between breaths as she limped along with her arm over Daniels shoulder for support. She had used most of the power she had left for her blinding attack and was now left with barely any energy. Daniel didnt respond for a few moments, thinking apparently. His eyes were fixed on the path ahead of them, which wasnt a path, but a swerving maze of trees that they had fled into, using their wings to get out of the open quickly.
Now they were both drained, working on will alone. As the trees began to spread farther apart they could see a dirt road, lined on the sides with tall oak trees in a single file on each side. It lead to something, what it was would be found out. Daniel and Lina stopped at the edge of the road to nod that they should follow it. He turned, taking a right; right towards a building they could see in the far distance.
Daniel Lina ran out of her energy, the last that she had been willing to use sparingly. As she fell limp Daniel caught her and set her down to take a breath, one he had needed for a long time. As he tried to calm his breathing and heart rate, he looked around, towards their destination to see a more defined building. It wasnt even a building it was a gate. He could sense energy around it, nothing he had felt before. After a couple minutes he could then feel Sumis energy. He had thought she wouldnt chase them, finding it beneath her to stoop to such a low level as a hunter. He was obviously wrong. The blinding attack Lina had sent must have angered Sumi to the point of not thinking about her appearance, something she was most fond of doing. This would prove to be helpful information in the later battle. Later. Now he must get to safety. Whoever was inside that gate had better help them or die along with them.
Come on, Lina. Up you go. He swung her over his back, grabbing her legs and making sure her arms would stay over his shoulders. All I have to do is make this stretch and we will be safe. I hope. The Angel of Hope ran as fast as he could with the dead weight of Lina on his back.
Oh when I find that wench! Sumi flew above the trees, feeling their energy close by but not seeing them. Her first instinct was that they were hiding, in a tree, in that forest. She was proven wrong when she finally sighted them, running on a road lined with trees. Whats this? Lina isnt running but being carried? What luck! Sumi was now overjoyed; her revenge would be wreaked upon them with ease now.
Flying at a faster pace than before, Sumi gained on Daniel and Lina. He could sense her coming up behind them, but if he turned to look, he would drop his lovely angel. Both continuing on, it was a race for the gate. Daniel could hear Lina whisper and almost stopped to ask her what she said before he remembered the danger they were in. As he approached the gate, and Sumi was so close behind them, he hoped that he would be able to get inside. The gate was large, incredibly huge. It rose above the oak trees that lined the road and towered above Daniel as he stopped at the gate, looking up at its height.
Hello!! Anyone! Open this door! Please, its urgent! He yelled to the top of the gate, hoping this gate was manned and they would hear him. Nothing happened and he gulped as he could feel Sumi very close now. He turned to see her landing on the path, yards away.
Well it seems your escape was futile. I still caught you. You are trapped between a rock and a hard place. She smirked and held up her hand towards them. Now do you surrender or would you try to put up a fight before I banish both of you from this plain? A small bit of energy gathered in her palm, threatening them. Daniel took a step back and heard Lina mumble something again. He heard her this time.
Show them your wings. He attempted to question her but took faith in her words. His wings opened widely behind him, sheltering Lina from the misty night air. The wings shown a small light, a glow, illuminating the air around them. Sumi shot the small blast at them for a warning but it was dispersed by what looked to be a shield, two feet in front of Daniel and Lina. Sumi looked at them confusedly and walked closer as Daniel backed up to the gate, touching it with his wings. At the brush of his feathers the door opened like it was only made of toothpicks. Sumi was stopped at the shield and couldnt move any closer to the fortress, as now Daniel had believed it to be. He backed in quickly and the doors, which had only opened slightly to let him in, closed to hide his view of Sumi.
She stared furiously at the gate where Daniel had just gone and took flight to look inside the gate, to see where they intended to go. Daniel saw her rise above the gate and look down at them, straight at them. He took in a nervous breath but let it out when she looked away. Now he was confused. Why wasnt she attacking? Did she really not see them? No, she had to. She looked right at them. He set down Lina and looked at what there was inside that enormous gate. Nothing. Nothing but a pillar of light about 7 feet in diameter. His eyes followed it up into the clouds and farther until he could see no more of it, but still knew it continued on.
Stand in the light and spread your wings. Linas soft voice was heard in the silence of the massive area they were in. Daniel nodded, wondering how she would know these things but he wouldnt question her until they were safe and restored. He picked her up again; the rest did him some good. Cradled in his arms, Lina leaned her head against his chest, feeling little warmth but could hear his heart beat. She smiled at the sound and closed her eyes again as Daniel reached the light and stopped. He wanted so much to ask Lina his question but stopped at the sight of her smiling slumber. He himself smiled as well and stepped into the light, spreading his wings as she had said to do. In the second it took to open his wings the light intensified and an air came from under Daniels feet. The wind rose up his legs and body and over Linas limp and sleeping body, up to his wings. They started to rise.
The light was so warm and so was the wind. It was like it was summer inside that light, pure sunlight. It warmed the cold air that rose from the ground and helped them to rise above the gate now, straight up. Daniel remembered Sumi; she was still looking for them. She floated above the closed in area in her search but could see nothing inside the gated wall. He tensed as he saw her hovering near the light that they were in but he soon watched her at eye level, then from above her. She never saw them. She saw nothing of them. Once he was in the safety of the clouds he turned his view upwards, to see their destination. All was white until they rose above the clouds, then he could see that of an entrance to something. It was like an alien ship taking them up into their bay. This was no ship. It was made of clouds. It came to a point on top and bottom, the top being much higher then the bottom. As they came closer to it and then right up on the bottom Daniel wondered too much what this place was and who would be there to help them, if anyone would.
Those questions would have to wait to get answered as he went through the bottom of the spire and felt heavy. Daniel couldnt bear to stay awake any longer as they traveled still, inside the bottom spire. He began to sweat from the heat that was trapped in there with them and he held Lina closer to him, afraid he would drop her. His attempts were futile as his eyelids drooped and he fell to slumber but still they rose and still he held Lina close.
As Daniels eyes opened he saw someone move in front of where he lay. He sat up quickly; alarmed at the thought of someone he didnt know there with him in a place he had never been.
Calm down, Im not going to hurt you, jeez. Whats your name, boy? The girl talked with a strong accent. He couldnt tell what kind though. It sounded like a mix between southern and Australian. He considered what she said and looked to see her better as his eyes adjusted. She looked fit and thin, like Lina, but she looked more battle ready. He leaned back as he looked her over while she worked at something on a table at the side of the room. Her hair was black and short. It was up in a ponytail that only hit the bottom of her neck. Her hair was wavy and she had no bangs besides the stray strands that lay around her face. Her eyes were a pure, royal blue and they glanced around like she was photographing every inch of the small table. She turned around suddenly with a small knife in her hand and put it up to his chin. He jumped at the movement and backed up. She laughed at him and drew back.
I said, whats your name? Or are you too occupied checking out my backside? Daniel hadnt noticed that she was wearing basically nothing until now. She wore a bikini type outfit, black on her white skin, and had a shawl that wrapped around her and was tied in the back, it was white. He smiled nervously and forced out the words with a small blush.
Daniel. My name is Daniel. And no Miss, I was not looking at your backside, I was wondering what you were doing. The girl looked skeptical but believed him and put the small knife in the side of her bikini bottom. She turned back to the table and rattled a few things as he became curious again and leaned up. What is your name, miss?
My I dont know why you were with her but arent you a curious son. My names Vamp and you should feel free to get fully dressed. I have to take you somewhere. She turned and threw a wadded up cloth at him and he caught it. Opening it he realized it was his long sleeved loose shirt and she had been sewing up the places torn from the battle with Taketo. He put it on and got out of bed. Youll have to chat with me later on how you got such a bad wound and are still alive right now.
Daniel smiled, I had a guardian angel. Vamp looked to him and smiled then led him out of the room. He was constantly looking around. The hall was plain white and smooth but it had many doors. Once out of the hall they entered a large open area that showed all of the floors. It was a domed ceiling and he couldnt count how many floors with how fast they were walking. They went into another hallway and down to the last door. Vamp stopped and turned to him.
Now you have to be quiet. She will wake up when shes ready but dont hurry her. She needs to do it on her own. Daniel nodded, not quite sure what she meant until she opened the door and showed a large room. There were many medicines in glass bottles sitting on tables; from the looks of it they had tried everything on her. Her. He stepped forward quickly to Linas side and knelt down to her level while she lay on the bed. Daniel grabbed her hand and felt it was cold. He looked back at Vamp with asking eyes.
Whats wrong with her? How long has she been like this? Where and what is this place? Vamp laughed slightly at the questions flowing out and put a finger over her mouth to shush him. She made a motion for him to come out of the room to talk. He looked back to Linas slumbering face then set down her hand and reluctantly left the room. Once outside Vamp shut the door and began to answer his questions.
When you arrived here we would have treated you and put you in a containing facility if it werent for you being with Miss Eva. She has been here once before with Mitra while she was training and we havent seen her since until now. This place is called the Angel Spire. It is located in its own dimension and has a gate from each of the other dimensions, like the one you went through. Come, Ill show you around. Vamp started to walk off but stopped when she noticed he wasnt making a move to leave where he stood. She turned back and put a hand on her hip.
Whats wrong with her? He repeated the first question he had asked intending on getting an answer before they did anything else. He wanted to know that leaving her alone in that room would be the best thing. Vamp saw this and sighed, knowing full well she couldnt avoid answering him like she had tried. She looked away with those searching royal blue eyes while she answered the question.
She You were injured in that dimension, correct? Daniel nodded, wondering where she was going with this. Vamp thought a moment, thinking of how to word what she wanted to say. We Detected a weird power from you and, like I said, would have contained you after treatment if it werent for you having Miss Eva with you. She When she healed you, I take it you were badly injured? He nodded again, now coming to figure out why she was shooting around the subject. The answer was not completely in her grasp and finding it would take a long time, time that Lina apparently did not have. He left out the fact that she healed him only because the energy from Mitra had not been enough to heal him completely from becoming Fallen. When she healed you it seems she was already low on energy and giving you what you needed to regain consciousness took away from her. She She is borderline.
Daniel took in a breath. He thought he knew what this meant and tried to bring himself to ask the question that would confirm his thoughts. He had to know. Borderline of what?
Becoming a Fallen Angel. Vamp looked to him finally in the eyes, having been searching around the room for something different to focus on when she wasnt looking for his nod. He noted that this was hard on her as well and also noted that she was still moving. He almost couldnt bring himself to it but he did move. Walking forward and placing a hand on Vamps shoulder, sharing her feelings, he spoke.
She has a guardian angel, too. Vamp smiled at his words, as did he, regaining some confidence that he had lost when he found that he was Fallen. I want to see what the Angel Spire has now, if youre up to it. She looked to him quickly and blushed lightly. Vamp turned away from Linas door and started to walk back, Daniel following slightly behind her to the side. She led him to a platform that went into the middle of the dome and stopped. Pointing to levels she told him what they were.
The Angel Spire is a hide out for some, a school for some and a hospital for some. It has 41 levels in all. The top 6 levels are for training. Ill have to take you there. I noticed you were never trained here and I think it would be in your best interest to try to learn something new. Seems what you have isnt good enough. She smirked at him and looked him up and down for show. Now, the next 8 levels are for information. Thats where we keep records of people who have been here, who hasnt, which shouldnt and why. Its all very complicated. I only have gone there twice. Once to file Miss Eva and just a little while ago to see who you were. See what Ive done for you?
Well, it seems this place is its own little city, isnt it?
Oh and so much more! The next 6 levels, coming to ours, are for the hospital. Patient care being priority, we felt that with so many training facilities around here we needed a hospital to match. On down further are 3 levels for food, 11 levels for boarding, 2 for securities, and our dimensional dock takes up 5 very complex and amazing levels. You have no idea how many dimensions there are until you see that place. Its flabbergasting. If there are no questions then Ill take you up to the training areas.
Daniel didnt protest as Vamp began to lead him to the middle of the platform they had been standing on. He shut his mouth as he looked down and then followed her. They came to that same light from before and Vamp turned to him. Dont worry. Once inside the air cools down and you dont even have to spread your wings. She smiled and stepped in the light then was taken up instantly. Daniel followed almost hesitantly but noticed someone coming up behind him and pushed himself in. The air was indeed cooler than before and not as heavy as it was. It took him to the top level where Vamp was waiting for him already. I can stay with you a while but if I get called away Ill have to leave you on your own. Kay?
Daniel nodded and followed her as she walked off the platform and into an open room. It looked as if the whole level was one open room with a slightly padded floor. What kind of training do you actually do here?
Well, thats another nice explanation. We worked out a system to see what level each angel was in a certain expertise. I, myself, am a level 4 healer, a level 5 fighter, a level 2 maker and a level 1 scribe. There are countless things to get leveled in but most just try for a healer and a fighter. I think that will be all you can do with the small amount of time it looks you can stay. That hunter you ran from wont stop poking around so we have to give you a time limit. Youd better learn while you can.
Right. Whats scribe? Daniel was looking around the whole time at people training as they walked to the back of the room that was lined with doors. Vamp opened one and looked to him.
When do you stop asking questions?
When I have all the answers.
I like you, Daniel. I hope you get hunted more often. She smiled; leaving the question unanswered and Daniel didnt feel the need to press on it either. She led him into the room that was plain but completely empty. So, Mr. I-Wanna-Know-Everything, what do you want to try first? Healing or fighting? She stood in the middle of the room while Daniel looked around on his way over.
Well I already know I cant fight but Ive never tried healing before.
So lets heal then. The first level of healing is for minor flesh wounds. Room 1-2-4, Level One Healing Unit. Request train. Vamp spoke to the room and it brightened a moment as it repeated her words like an echo. A table appeared with a dummy on it with minor flesh wounds. It looked real. Daniel even touched it to be sure it wasnt real. His hand passed through it and he looked to question how this would help. Vamp was already ahead of him and walked around the transparent table while talking.
Well. My Daniel, we have here an energy component. This will measure the kind of energy you use on it and react properly with the wounds. If you are successful in healing it then we can move to the next level or have your energy measured to make a long story short, which I advise, seeing you have limited time. Lets try this, eh? Daniel nodded, not knowing what to do. Vamp reached across the table to him and grabbed his arm and leveled it to his eyes. Hold your hand there and bring the energy from your wings to your fingers. Daniel tried and after a moment his fingers glowed with a light yellow energy. He looked at it sideways and Vamp looked at him the same way. What? Never seen your wing energy before?
Well No. Its always been behind me.
Ah me, children these days. Ok after that you want to connect with the wound you are healing and let out the amount of energy you want for the wound. So pick a spot.
You make it sound so easy. And Im not that young. He started to touch a wound on the arm of the transparent dummy and it registered and healed the wound. Vamp laughed at his comments then talked to the room again.
Room 1-2-4, completed Level One Healing Unit. Clear train, request energy scan. Again the room repeated the words in an echo and the table dissipated and a blue light formed in between Vamp and Daniel. Into the light, Daniel, or risk feeling my angry plight. She smiled, as did he as he stepped into the blue light, illuminating his features.
I wouldnt want to risk something so precious, Miss Vamp. He felt something pulling his energy and closed his eyes. He thought it felt like little fingers lightly poking him all over his body. The feeling went away and the light retreated, leaving him with Vamp as he opened his eyes and looked to her. Is that all? What did that do?
Again with the questions! Heh Yes thats all. You now have a file in one of those levels out there and we have to go get it. Actually, Ill go get it by myself so we wont have to get you clearance and you wait here and hold this room off for me. Kay? Vamp started heading for the door and stopped when she opened it to see his answer.
Okay, but what will I do while I wait?
Oh! You can practice what we just did, or try to train for fighting. You just say what I said except say fighting instead of healing. Be back in a few. She left the room and Daniel spoke to the room, trying to remember what she had done.
Umm... Room 1-2-4, Fighting Oh! Room 1-2-4, Level One Fighting Unit. Request train. The words echoed and another dummy formed in the room then proceeded to attack him without any notice. Daniel jumped quickly at the sudden small onslaught and soon took hold of the situation and sparred with the being. Vamp made her way to the information level needed to get the file of Daniels energy scan. She walked into one of the doors reserved for it and sighed, walking to a table where another angel sat.
Hey, Gliz. Wanna help me find a file? You know your way around here better than I do. The tone was friendly and the teal haired angel looked up, moving beads from her face that decorated her hair. She smiled at Vamp who had her hands on her hips and was smiling back. Gliz spoke with a light voice that seemed it belonged to a five year old.
Who do you need to find?
Daniel. Hes never been here before so Im trying to train him while he can stay. Seems hes company with Miss Eva from years ago with Mitra but they ran into some trouble. Miss Eva is borderline cause of it and Daniel has a limited time here. He had an energy scan. Gliz started walking down an aisle and stopped to look at Vamp, who was ready for a remark always.
I thought only 3 year residents were allowed to have energy scans. I guess you wanted to take the easy way instead of going through all the levels one by one. Vamp looked guilty as Gliz discarded the act and brought up a screen in front of her and typed a few transparent keys.
Am I that transparent? I mean what if he turns out to be a level 4? You have any idea how long it takes to just get up to level 3? Forbid it if he gets a level 6. Vamp crossed her arms and leaned against one of the low counters that ran down the room. Gliz typed a few more buttons and the top of the counter opened up in front of her and she made the screen go away and started sifting through the data files. She pulled one up and showed it to Vamp.
Is this Daniel?
Aye. Its funny how we dont use last names, makes it difficult for these new angels to get names that havent been used yet. She opened up the file and a screen popped up like the one Gliz had used and the form of Daniel appeared on it and a lot of data from the scan. Vamp pressed a few buttons on the screen and then looked at the profile. Ah me, forbid! Hes a level 6.
What? Really? Wow, I havent seen one of those in a long time. Its rare, isnt it? Gliz stood beside Vamp and read the screen.
Yeah. You know how helpful this is? This could help Miss Eva greatly. I have to go train him for this. We only have a short time! Vamp ran out of the room, leaving the file on the table for Gliz to put back. She ran into the room to see Daniel pinned to the wall by the level 3 train sparer. Vamp laughed loudly while trying to turn off the train. Room Aha... 1-2-4, Level 3 Fighting Ahaha Unit. Request cancel train. The words echoed and the form of the sparer dissipated and Daniel sat down very tired and Vamps laugh was heard as she walked over to him and knelt beside him.
Guess I know how bad a fighter I am now. Hows my healing? Vamp sat down on her knees and smiled, finally able to speak without laughing. That good, huh? Yes very! There are only 6 levels in healing and you can reach them all with your wing energy. If you can learn to use it then we can heal Miss Eva and you wont have to go out to the hunter alone. Vamp didnt hide her anxiousness and grabbed his hands to pull him up. She literally dragged him to the middle of the room. Room 1-2-4, Level 6 Healing Unit. Request train. The words echoed and Vamp began to tell him what to do.
Meanwhile, outside of the Spire, Sumi sat on the ground outside of the gate relaxing.
They cant stay in there forever. Theyll have to come out sooner or later and when they do, theyll wish they had never been born. Sumi smirked as she thought of what she would do to destroy them and still have fun watching them suffer along with their demise. A pair of feet appeared in front of her where she was looking and she followed them up to see a man with short blond hair staring down at her. Uh, sire! What brings you here? Sumi quickly stood and brushed herself off. The blond turned towards the gate.
Why are you hanging around this place? It has no importance.
I followed two angels here and they disappeared inside this gate. I was waiting for them to come out. Sumi felt nervous and finally realized she had reduced herself to a Hunter. The blond laughed at her.
Oh dear, you have come a long way, havent you? This gate leads to an angel sanctuary, if you will, and they could very well be laughing at you this very moment. They could stay in there forever. He smiled at her as she cursed herself. He had been listening to her talking before and was contradicting what she said. She wouldnt dare talk back to him though, and simply turned away. Oh and be sure to send an actual Hunter down here for when they do come out. Ill see you back home, Sumi.
Yes, sire. The blond disappeared and Sumi angrily threw an energy ball at the gate to watch it be absorbed by the shield before she disappeared herself. Within moments a guard looking man appeared with blue and red armor on. He sat where Sumi once was and cursed her.
Why do I always get sent to take care of these things? Go to planet Racell, Jaron. Sires orders. Take care of an angel problem, she says. Right. She refuses to call herself a Hunter but thats all she is. Dammit! How long do I have to wait!? The black-haired Jaron picked up a nearby rock and threw it at the gate. It went through the shield and bounced off the wood. It landed inside the shield and Jaron put his hand up to catch it as it rose from the ground and came back to him. He continued this while he waited.
Vamp!! You have to come see! Miss Eva woke up! Another angel ran in wearing a white flowered dress and Vamp jumped up from the floor. She had been watching Daniel trying to master the level and he too jumped and ran to the door. The red-haired angel glanced at him then back to Vamp when she spoke, not knowing Daniel.
She woke up? How? When? Tell me, Aran!
We dont know, she just opened her eyes and thats when I was sent to get you. The three of them started towards the light elevator and went down to Linas level. They walked quickly as not to disturb anyone else and opened the door to Linas room. They found it empty and looked to a nurse there. Site, where is Miss Eva?
The blue-haired angel looked to them. She just left a moment ago. Said something about a train. Vamp laughed and turned to leave, Daniel and Aran on her heels.
Train. Of course! We should have just waited for her up there. Shes a level 5 fighter and Im sure she knows she only has a limited time here. We have to talk to Gliz on the 30th level before we can find Miss Eva. Vamp stepped into the light and went to the floor she wanted. Gliz was just walking out of the information room when Vamp grabbed her hand and dragged her back in. Daniel and Aran followed soon after. Gliz I need you to find Miss Eva. Shes in on the training rooms and itll be shorter to find her here. Please?
Gliz laughed slightly and brought up a screen and began typing. Like I have a choice. I was just about to go get some breakfast. You know Im off duty now, right?
Im sorry Gliz, I just really dont know how to work these things and we just have to find Miss Eva quickly. Gliz brought up something then covered it with her hand.
Now you owe me, right? I want you to get to a level 2, okay? Thats what you owe me so I wont have to do this for you all the time.
Right right, just tell me which room! Vamp was getting anxious. Daniel leaned down to the shorter Aran.
Is that what scribe is?
Yep. Vamp doesnt like that she is only a level 1 scribe and hates to talk about it. She just isnt good with the technical stuff around here.
Room 5-4-4. Ill see you after Miss Eva leaves in the training rooms, myself. Okay? Vamp? Vamp had run out while Gliz was putting the screen away. She sighed as she watched the three leave. Okay, fine, blow me off again.
So since shes in room 5-4-4 she will be on level 37. Only a hundred rooms on each floor! Vamp jumped into the elevator and out on level 37 with Daniel and Aran following after her. She jumped into room 5-4-4 to see Lina just disassemble a sparer. Vamp didnt see what level train it was. Miss Eva! Lina stopped and turned to Vamp without a smile. Room 5-4-4, Level 6 Fighter Unit. Request train, again. The room echoed and a sparer appeared and shot a blast at her. She blocked it and flew up to it and gave it a few punches then round housed a kick to its face and it fell to the floor trying to get up. Lina landed and stepped towards it and shot a finishing blast at it. Room 5-4-4, Level 7 Fighter Unit. Request train. The room echoed and a sparer appeared. It shot a blast at the room and it turned black. Not being able to see, Daniel spoke to Vamp where he last saw her.
I thought you said she was a level 5?
She WAS Level 7 is the highest level and if she beats this sparer she will have surpassed Mitra, a level 6 fighter. Vamp spoke from beside him. He heard her sit down and he leaned against the door, afraid to move and get in the way of Linas training. He wished he could see her. At least her smile would be enough.
