Now this may come as a shock to those of who just start go out , but who remembers when sessions only featured one soun at that specific party ? Oh no , say it ain't so ! Yes kidz , there was a time when u would go to a session and only one soun would be playing that night. What heppen to that ? Whats with these 7 soun parties now ?
It is so ridiculous when u go out now with these 7 soun parties ....
i mean for one , is bere talkin , nobody just play music anymore . U remember that ? Grown folks take a walk down memory lane with me , u remember when u would go to a party and just dance ? Yes just dance , no forward forward ting , just dance til u back wet and went home feeling that u got ur moneys worth ? Well with the exception of maybe Renaissance and a few others , everybody just a talk out the party now a days . By the time dem buss a new tune , not even a minute and is 'PULL UP DAT' , then chat , chat , chat ...lol !?!? I mean , wha dat ? U don't even get to enjoy the music , dance to it likkle , listen long enough to hear if you like it or not ? I mean these soun ppl nuh easy , i mean if i spend so much time and money makin a dub or remix for a particular session , believe me , unu a guh hear all a it !! lol.....
And the next thing that bugs me , is that , eventually when a soun start play some good music , him time up ! I mean , it just stupid. But that is what happen when u book 10 different soun to play in 5 hours , every man just get 1/2 hour....
And the WORST thing about this 7 soun at session is by the time 3 soun play , dem play out all the song dem , so when everybody else start play now , is di same ting dem a repeat over and over ....and it just bruk vibes still....
Now with around 20 souns bout the place , who is the leader of the pack ? What qualities do u use to measure what makes a soun a good soun ? Is their ability to get the crowd hyped ? Tuff remixes ? Playing the right song at the right time ? What sets a soun apart from the rest ?
All these questions , i can't answer , cuz who died and made me the expert ??!?! All i can say is that i think Epedemik , Razz & Biggy and Code Red kinda break away from the pack and greats like Renaissance and Tony Matterhorn will always be good in my book.
Is this sudden bombrush of souns just a phase or are there more souns to join the in the ever growing already crowded soun industry ?
