Confetti*
Snow used to fall on the roof, I recall,
And it made a white tent of each gable.
Snow used to fall, but it fell in a ball
Made of glass, on my grandmother's table.
Snow didn't fit, so it rained quite a bit
When the Spring came and found me unready.
Snow used to fall, when the world was a ball
But it broke, and the snow was confetti...
Snow used to fall on the roof, I recall,
And it made a white tent of each gable.
Snow used to fall, but I just can't recall
In which movie it was, or which fable.
How could I feel, back when snowflakes were real,
So at ease with the thought of December?
Snow used to fall when the world was a ball,
But it's been so long, I can't remember...
*if anyone can identify where this poem/ song lyric came from, for me, I would be much obliged!
