| I can talk until I'm blue in the face about my favorite music. I buy way to many cd:s but my taste for music is wide. It's my passion. I love everything from Rock to Country and back again. But the only thing I don't like is techno. Sure, I can listen to it and dance to it..But I have never ever bought a cd just because I like the music. I'm sorry but I don't think it's "real" music. I think music should move. And I mean really move a person. Their soul. Their world. And I think techno and other computer -generated music lacks the "soul" to do that. The thing is that draws me in to a special singer or a band is the voice. It needs to have that special kind of "WOW!" to it. Does this make sense at all? I hope you understand what I mean. It not..Then I will move on..directly. But one thing that also gets me hooked is lyrics. I hate when the singer's voice is so bad that you can't hear the words. That the words is so blurry that you don't care to listen... But hey, this is just my random thoughts about the music I have fallen in love with. | David Gray This man is God in my world. I heard "Babylon" a while back and I got hooked but I never got around to buying the cd. But about six months ago I finally got around to buying it...And it has never left my cd-player since then. "White ladder" is absolutly beautiful. God, I don't know how to describe it if you haven't heard anything by this man. But it's haunting...It's wow! With songs like "Babylon", "Please forgive me", "This years love" and "Say hello wave goodbye". His newest album "A new day at midnight" is also so beautiful. He caught me once again...With songs like "The other side", "Be mine" and "Freedom". The only thing I've left to say is...WOW! |

| Sarah Mclachlan I can't remember when I "found"her. It seems like I have always have had her cd:s. When I talked about moving people..This woman can do that with just a line. Her music is amazing. Poetry. So beautiful. She writes music in a way I want to be able to write my fanfiction. She moves me. She touches my heart. She puts words to feelings I didn't know I had. She has helped me through many things. Just by being there...With music so beautiful. MUST HAVE: "Surfacing" (With "Angel" also on the "City of Angels" soundtrack and songs like "Do what you have to do", "Adia" and "Full of Grace". Also must have "Fumbling towards Ecstasy" with songs like "Plenty", "Hold on", "Fear" . If David Gray is the king in my world she is surely the queen. |

| Richard Marx I don't remember when I first heard him. All I know is that I was young ( younger LOL). The first song that I fell for was "Right here waiting" and there was "Now and forever". I wonder if there is anyone that hasn't heard his songs. The way he writes is as all the others here...Beautiful. He moves me...And for that I'm grateful. I bought his "Greatest hits" some years ago and found the wonderful song "Until I find you again" and got hooked. But then I kind of forgot about him ( BAD! BAD! BAD!). But then I read the book "Message in a bottle" and later saw the film. ( A great movie! I cry like a baby everytime.) I also bought the soundtrack and there I found the wonderful song "One more time." Written by Richard Marx but sung by Laura Pausini. God...*sigh* It's wonderful. I have never heard such a sad song.... |
