| Application | Students will develop the skills to evaluate and comprehend literature written about the Holocaust. Students will use print and electronic resources to better understand the issues surrounding genocide and the perspectives of survivors. Students will address the socioeconomic political issues, which lead to the Holocaust. |

| Application | Performance of website evaluations to become more aware of antisemitsm throughout history. Confront contemporary issues, such as Holocaust denial. |

| Application | Use of SIRS, GaleNet: Discovery Collection, newspapers, and websites will be used to analyze contemporary primary sources. Students will also read excerpts from primary historical documents. |

| Application | Students will investigate U.S. foreign and domestic policies and movements. Immigration quotas, the eugenics movement, and isolationism will be examined to show their affects on other nations. Students will comapre and contrast U.S. behavior with regards to contemporary genocides, such as Bosnia and Rwanda. The United Nations and international and U.S. laws and conventions regarding genocides will be examined. |

| Application | Holocaust "Revisionism," Holocaust denial, antisemitic literature and propaganda will be examined to demonstrate the nature of racism and the elements of violent and/or genocidal behavior. Developing the skills necessary to evalaute arguments and to differentiate between the truth about the Holocaust and false interpretations. |

| Application | Students will investigate historical and political antisemitism, the Weimar Republic, the Depression, the Treaty of Versailles, World War I, and Fascism and the role that different eras and ideologies had in the Holocaust. Antisemitic essays, literaure and history will be covered. |
