| This ten year old boy was referred to me for counselling. In one contact he told me of a nightmare he had had about a vampire woman who had drunk his blood Very strangely an actual event had occurred in this boy's life which was remarkably similar to the ideas in the | nightmare. This was that when the boy was developing in his mother's womb there was a blood type incompatibility and it was necessary to replace his blood , to give him a blood transfusion It would be indeed amazing if the dream had revealed something not | known by P. at any level, perhaps it revealed something known at an unconscious level, learned from poorly understood and apparently forgotten scraps of conversation between his mother and others overheard when he was very young. (I am fairly sure he denied knowing about these events) |
