Caretakers of s.l.d. people should try to divest themselves of low class sexual prudery and hypocrisy. These individuals can be sexually interested and active at quite young ages. Of course a picture of a female masturbating will be used in a girl's bedroom. The function is to show the person that the activity is acceptable in the bedroom. The other possible function could be of sexual stimulation, if an image of male masturbation were used in a girl's bedroom. But it is perhaps best, to help the s.l.d. child, to keep the functions and meaning of things, including activity photos, as singular as possible. The function of sexual stimulation can be reserved for photos of boy band pop stars etc, for girls. (Note that the traditional place to keep these objects is under the bed!)

A small amount of imagination, perhaps aided by pop star magazines, in the case of a female s.l.d. person, will enable the girl to phantasise having sex with her favourite pop star as she masturbates.
Of course this is a minimal and quite conscious degree and type of phantasy. More properly, (or improperly!) psychoanalytically, the young, (or not so young), s.l.d. girl, might, as she masturbates, at some level, be phantasising that she is having sex with her father
