Weapons and items

NOTE: the ( ) keys are the hot keys for the items /weapons

Weapons

  Stun Baton (1 key):

Your first melee weapon, it is automatically replaced by the lightsaber at the moment you get it. I find this weapon quite useless, although you may try to use it against the little craps in the mines of the second level. The only good thing about it is the fact it doesn’t use ammo.

Primary and Alternate attack: Just press the button to attack. It's quite powerful but you have to touch the enemy for it to work.

Lightsaber (1 key)

THE weapon of JK II. After all, what on earth would a JK with no lightsaber? It’s basically a sword with an energy blade. Jedis can use it to block incoming shots. Selecting it will automatically change to the 3rd person view, which I find much easier to use this weapon with.

Primary Attack: Depending on player movement, Kyle will slash and swing differently. Refer to Lightsaber Combat section for more information.

Alternate Attack: When pressing this button, Kyle will launch the lightsaber forward, which will eventually come back to him. This will drain some Force power. Refer to the Force Powers section for more information.

 Bryar Blaster Pistol (2 key)

This is Kyle’s favorite weapon. It has a poor firing rate but such an incredible accuracy you can actually use it as a sniper rifle.

Primary Attack: slow single shot

Alternate Attack: hold down and then release for a more powerful shot. I find it very useful against turrets and enemy sentry guns. This uses more ammo (5 as a max)

Ammo Type: Blaster Pack

 E-11 Blaster rifle (3 key)

The basic weapon of Imperial forces.

Primary Attack: Slow single shot

Alternate Attack: Rapid-fire burst shots. this is one of the best ways of destroying a stormtrooper pack. Watch your ammo however, because this will drain your supplies very quickly.

Ammo type: Blaster Pack

Tenloss Disruptor Rifle (4 key)

The typical sniper rifle that can't miss in a good FPS.

Primary Attack: single fast shot, with a really low rate of fire. Only good to use when you're caught with this weapon and don't have time to change it for another. Otherwise, it's useless.

Alternate Attack: press and hold down the A.A button to zoom in. Then, press and hold down P.A button to load power. Release to shoot. Loading the power totally is lethal (except for the Reborn if you ever get to hit them with it), but it uses a lot of ammo. Why not better aim for the head and shoot without loading?

Ammo Type: Power Cell

Wookie Bowcaster (5 key)

This weapon fires powerful bolts of metal enveloped in energy pockets.

Primary Attack: Press to fire a single shot. Hold down to power up and release to fire 5 bolts at once. I yet don’t believe this power up thing is useful, because 4 of those 5 bolts will very likely miss.

Alternate Attack: Fires a projectile that bounces off surfaces. This is quite useful when you are in closed, narrow areas.

Ammo Type: Power Cell

Imperial Heavy Repeater with Concussion Launcher (6 key)

A very inaccurate weapon when used in P.A mode. The A.A mode is a useful replacement for thermal detonators. A weapon to use only against a big number of enemies

Primary Attack: A rapid stream of bullets. Due to the inaccuracy of this mode, I suggest you to fire in close quarters. If you don’t, bullets will just get into a wall.

Alternate attack: This fires an energy projectile that explodes on contact. Its explosion can damage several enemies at a time, and you too, so watch out!

Ammo Type: Metallic Bolts

Destructive Electromagnetic Pulse 2 Gun (7 key)

As you might have guessed by the name, it uses electro-magnetic pulse to destroy electronic components and is really useful against ATSTs, turrets and “peacocks”, although it can also damage living people.

Primary attack: A single shot that stuns living people and damages robots

Alternate Attack: A single shot that creates an expanding wave of electromagnetic pulse which damages living people and robots

Ammo Type: Power cell

Golan arms FC-1 Flechette weapon (8 key)

This weapon fires metal shards in a shotgunlike spread, and is able to hit multiple targets in close proximity. The shards can bounce off surfaces.

Primary attack: Fires a spread of shots. Deadly at close range.

Alternate attack: Launches a timed mine of some kind which bounces off surfaces. This is a useful replacement for thermal detonators.

Ammo Type: Metallic Bolts

Merr-Sonn PLX-2M Portable Missile system (9 key)

This weapon fires 3T3 Arakyd missiles. Watch not to take damage from the blast.

Primary attack: Fires a missile that goes straight ahead and detonates on impact.

Alternate Attack: Press and hold down A.A button while aiming at an enemy. A red circle will begin to form over the enemy. When this red circle is full, let go A.A button to shoot a Target-seeking missile which will follow the enemy

Ammo Type: Rockets

Note: you may notice the next 3 weapons have all the same default key, 0. just use this key to cycle through them.

Thermal Detonator (0 key)

This grenade-like weapon is what it looks like: a grenade. It releases a wave of heat and energy. Hold down P.A mode button or A.A mode button to throw it further

Primary Attack: Throws the detonator, which will explode after 4 seconds or when touching an enemy

Alternate attack: Throws the detonator, which will explode on impact

Trip Mines (0 key)

Triangular-shaped explosive casings which emit a blue beam (you can find of those settled up in some levels of the one-player game, so watch out). When someone or something touches the beam, or the mine is fired upon, it explodes damaging everything near to it.

Primary attack: Place the mine on walls or on the floor. This will automatically activate the laser beam.

Alternate Attack: Places the mine which becomes a proximity mine, and explodes when an enemy gets close enough to it.

Detonation Packs (0 key)

This weapon is an explosive pack with a remote detonator. You can place many of those at the same time. Good to ambush enemies.

Primary Attack: Places the pack on a surface. If this can’t be done, it’ll just drop to the floor.

Alternate Attack: Detonates all of the packs you placed at a distance.

Non-Portable Weapons (E or CRTL keys)

During the game, you may need to use some weapons that are part of the environment, like sentry guns or turrets. Just get close to them and press the use button. Press the Jump button to exit.

Items

Inventory Items

These are items you pick up and then use when you want. Scroll through your inventory with [  ] keys and press Enter or, use the hot keys.

Neuro-SAAV model TD2.3 Electrobinoculars (G or MOUSE 3 keys)

These are available since the beginning of the game. They are powered by batteries. Use the P.A and the A.A buttons to zoom in and out. Notice you can’t shoot when using those.

Light Amplification Goggles (Keypad left arrow key).

When used in dark places, they amplify the light (what a surprise) to let you see what you normally can't. This drains power a lot more quickly than the electrobinoculars. Although you can fire while using it, you can only see clearly for a distance of some steps.

Biotech Bacta Canister (B key)

Small portable packs of bacta, a substance known in the entire universe for its medical properties. Use it to boost your health (25 health points) instantly.

Arakyd Mark VII inquisitor (Keypad Page Down key)

When used, the inquisitor floats near Kyle, shooting any enemy in range. It will automatically self-destruct after a certain amount of time.

Assault Sentry (Key Pad 5 key)

Once used, the sentry gun will deploy itself and automatically shoot any enemy in range. Once deployed, you can't take them with you.

Keys (USE button)

Found on officer’s bodies, these keys will either open a locked door (security keys) or a locked crate (furniture keys) where you’ll find useful items.

Other Items

Shield and ammo power converter

Located throughout the levels, these give you ammo (energy and metallic bolts only!) and shield. To use them, just get close and press and hold down the use key. They both have a fixed amount of energy to convert, which will depend on the difficulty level you‘re playing in.

Shield pickups

These are scattered across the levels and recover 25 (small version) or 50 (large version) shield points. To use them, just walk above them. Notice, however, that this shield will not protect you from falling or being crushed

Battery packs

Pick these to power the electrobinoculars and the light amplification goggles.

Instant Medipacks

Scattered throughout all of the imperial bases are these. Pick them up to instantly recover 20 health points

Multiplayer-only Items

Stationary shield

When used, this item creates a force field which blocks enemy fire and movement. It will disappear after a certain amount of time or after having sustained a certain amount of damage.

Ysalamari

This small creature is a “force repellant” The player who has it during Capture the Ysalamari or other game types is immune to the effects of other player’s Force Powers, but can’t use his own Force Powers.
