The Jedi Honor Code

I play a lot at JK2 in MP (my nick is Mace Window) and when I do so, I generally play against civilized people, who enjoy the game while letting the other ones do so. But sometimes what I find disgusts me. Players insulting each other, saying mean words, making fun of you when you're not as good as them... This must come to an end. I gathered here all rules players should respect so everyone can enjoy from multiplayer games.

* Don't insult other players. Saying a newbie he plays like **** is especially stupid, because everyone was a noob once (I was once too). If someone insults you, don't answer. You'll just be lowering yourself to his level. Instead, ignore him, or if he gets really annoying, quit the server.

*Cursing a bit is generally tolerated, but watch your mouth.

*Having saber turned off means peace, so don't attack! Doing so is called "lamming", is coward and extremely unappreciated by other players. Same goes for attacking someone who's talking/changing his force powers/model (You will now they're talking or changing their settings when you see the icon over their head). Oh, and by the way, having the saber down then suddenly attacking by surprise someone who respected your "peace demand" is more than sickening. Just don't do it.

*As for duels within FFA games, the rules are simple: More than one newbie player will have been surprised when his opponent, just after the duel began, turned off his saber, went a few steps backwards, and crouched! What's up with these guys? Did so many JK2 affected their brain in some way? No, it's a sign of respect you should answer to. So, just do the same! After the duel begins, give a few steps backwards, crouch, and look at the ground for some seconds. After that, wait until your opponent rises, turn on your lightsaber, and begin the duel. ( Note: You must not kiss the ground for half a minute, 2-3 seconds are enough! Also, don't feel embarrassed. It's not because you just salute your opponent that you're going to lose your honor.)

*When a game finishes or a duel within a game finishes, saying things like "good game", "nice duel", "good fight" is considered polite use the abbreviations if you're not fast enough with the keyboard ("gf" for "good fight", "gg" for "good game"). Don't begin being too proud of yourself if you win ("Ha-Ha! I won again!") and don't complain if you lose ("I only had 25 health when we began dueling, that's why you won!") unless the complaint is justified. And even so, don't blame the other players. Everyone makes errors, and facing them is the only way you can correct them

*If you're leaving, say something like "goodbye everyone", and wait until the other players answer you before you leave.
