From family group sheet prepared by Josephine Conway in 1962, it says that
Benjamin Pulliam is shown on 1790 tax list Fayette Co. and on 1800 Tax List,
Barren Co.

12 Dec 1770 Benj. Pulliam and Lucy, his wife, of Culpeper Co., to Joseph
Holloday of Spt. Co. tract of land in Spotsylvania Co., Wit: Jos. Brock, Lewis Holloday, Janes Holloday. June 20, 1771.

Benjamin Pulliam who reside in Culpeper Co., VA. during the American
Revolution was a patriot. His claim was for payment for beef, flour, and
corn impressed by the Commissioners of Provisions under the act for procuring a supply of provisions and other necessaries for the use of the army, May 1780, was validated at a meeting Mecklenburg County Court April 9, 1782. (Auditors Department public Service Claims, Mecklenburg Co., Va. Court Booklet Pages 1 and 4.

MARRIAGE: Married before May 14, 1770 to Lucy Stuart (Stewart) as she is
mentioned in her father's will of that date as Lucy Pulliam.
Moved to Kentucky (now Hart Co.) in 1796 and settled on Green River.

"J. T. Riherd: Representative Thirty-fourth District: Glasgow Junction, Barren
County Democrat. Farmer. Born in Barren County, July 29, 1856, a son of J. L. and Z. T. Riherd. Educated in Public School, Miami College, Glasgow. Taught school and then engaged in farming. Served one term as Justice of the Peace. President of a bank and deacon of a Baptist Church. Elected to present house over Tom Emerson, Republican, by 819 majority. Married."

He died of cancer of the throat and according to reports constantly smoked a
pipe.
