and Rev. Durwood Garmon at Hopewell Baptist Church at two o'clock Sunday
afternoon. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery. Mrs. Centers was a native of this
county, born December 18, 1876, daughter of the late W.F. and Cynthia
Thompson Hanes. She is survived by her husband, Mr. W.E. Centers, and
daughter, Mrs. E.W. Lawson, both of Scottsville, Rt. 4; one son Truman
Centers, Olmstead Falls, Ohio, and one brother, Ed Haines, Dunlap, Tennessee.
Six grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
