The Haines, Brolliar
family Lines
This
page is dedicated to the ancestors of Jim Haines, Rita Robison, and
Carollee Simpson.
The
Haines line starts with Christopher Hains born in Winchester, Virginia in
1760. This
revolutionary
War veteran obtained a land grant in Kentucky near the Tennessee state
line. The
Hains
lived there until about 1920 when my grandmother moved to Utah with my
father and his brother.
My
mother's maiden name is Brolliar which has been changed from the original
Brallier, a French
name. Christian Brallier moved from
northeastern France in the mid 1700's.
They came to
Pennsylvania
and subsequently moved to several Midwestern states, including Ohio, Iowa,
Nebraska, and Missouri. My family
moved to southern California in the early 1900's where many still live
