Hi all!
This is the web site of John Gibbins -
and the main home page of all he has to offer.

Please follow the links to other areas - and then return here for the main nexus of all his different interests.

Feel free to contact me by email.

Hobbies

My main hobbies that I am involved with take up a fair proportion of my time.

They are fantasy role playing games, which at the moment is ADD 3.5ed. The other fanatsy roll playing games are retired, such as Earthdawn, or Fuzion. I do like the smaller games like Pirates, Mageknight, and similar which can be played in an afternoon. An old favourite is Settlers of Cattan.

The other main interest is in conceptual engineering.

I am an avid watcher of the news and have a keen interest in social commentary.

I would like to do more with my time and hobbies - and so disperse the time spread between walking the dog, playing computer games, reading science fiction, listening to jazz, and occasionally working on my web sites.

Spirituality

I am quite a mixed and eclectic Pagan. Hence my spirituality and religion is usually called Wicca. My history however is from the mystic traditions and I would far rather sit on a mountain and commune with the Divine than have my contact mediated by a Coven. Most of the time I would be called solitary.

My history is also from hereditary and initatory groups. So I know that groups have a place and serve many useful social functions. Indeed I am a member of some religious based groups.

Sport

Although I do not follow sport avidly like I used to; I am relearning. Gradually I am getting my interest back.

Politics

Although I do not follow any political party - I do have political opinions. For quite some time now we have had separation of Church and State. The time has come to separate Nation and State. We should get some separation happening between the State and the Nation as they are two different things.
