The Playoff Picture

With football almost over, here's what will happen in the final weeks of the season leading up to Super Bowl XXXIX:

In the AFC Wild Card games, the New York Jets will defeat the San Diego Chargers 43-21 while the Indianapolis Colts defeat the Denver Broncos 56-24, New York will face off against Indianapolis; the Jets will kill the Colts 39-21 as they advance to meet up with their longtime rivals the Patriots (who will beat the Steelers 28-21), just like the Yankees meeting against the Red Sox (only this time, it's football, and the Jets need it badly to win it to advance to the Super Bowl). The final score for the AFC game: Jets 42-Patriots 24.

As for the NFC Wild Card games, the Rams will be defeated by the Seattle Seahawks 48-14 while the legendary Green Bay Packers defeat the Vikings 31-28 (just like all their other games); Seattle loses against Atlanta 45-21 while Philly defeats Green Bay 49-23. The final score for the NFC Championship game: Philly 52-Atlanta 49 in overtime.

As for the final game, Super Bowl XXXIX, Philadelphia wins it 42-39 in overtime against the New York Jets, thus making them Super Bowl Champions for the first time in their nearly 70 year history (the Jets have won only one Super Bowl, and that was in 1969).
