Local Olympic Towns?

Imagine if the summer Olympics were held in a major city near where I live. Sure, New York got nominated for the 2012 games. But what about local suburbs like Allentown as well as a major city like Philadelphia, where many major sports teams play, such as the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, and Flyers.  If the city of Allentown was nominated, then it will be the first time a small town was chosen for the Olympics since Lake Placid in 1980, when the U.S. hockey team won over Russia and went on to win the gold, inspiring a great movie called Miracle. If Lake Placid was the Winter Olympic town, then Allentown will be the Summer Olympic town in 2016. The area will also include the Pocono Mountain area if it was a choice for the winter Olympic games in 2018. For that, a town like Scranton/Wilkes-Barre will be the choice instead of Allentown. As for Philly, it could be a contender for both Summer and Winter Olympic games in 2020 and 2022, respectively. By that time, I will participate in the games' Paralympic edition, winning a lot of gold medals (yeah, right!). By that time, I will reach the age of 40 and have a nice wife and adoptive kids and will be in every commercial when the game airs on ABCBSNBC in high definition and with extra security against Al-Qaeda-Hamas attacks.
