Garden State

When it comes to New Jersey, movies about it suck. Not this one, about a homecoming twentysomething  going back to Jersey nearly a decade after being out and about to see new and old friends. This black comedy has a terrific cast: Zach Braff as the main character, Natalie Portman as his girlfriend, and other stars as well. Shot on location in mostly urban cities of New Jersey (Morristown is the closest), this movie is one of the best of the year!
