What a busy millennium Keanu Reeves has had. Since his success in The Matrix, he has been in two more sequels, several romantic comedies which didn't fare well at the box office (except Something's Gotta Give), and his current flick, Constantine. Based on the DC/Vertigo comic book by the name of Hellblazer, Keanu Reeves plays the title role of John Constantine, a demon curer who is part exorcist part superhero. His love is played by Rachel Weisz; her on-screen character's sister commits suicide by some unknown force from Hell; there lies Balthazar, Constantine's main foe. Mr. Matrix's on-screen character does all he can to save the world from demons. After seeing this movie, I thought that this flick wasn't as good as expected. Although this film has decent special effects, the plot is muddy and the dialogue is not as witty as Hellboy, the movie's main competition. After a decent opening weekend, expect Constantine to fall flat on its knees and become a box office turkey.
