| Early C. Darnell Early Campbell Darnell, 83, of Dungannon, Va., died at 8:00 a.m. yesterday (5 Oct. 1980) at Indian Path Hospital after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Scott County, he was a retired miner and member of New Buffalo Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Deana Rebecca Darnell; two daughters, Mrs. Jessee (Mary) Estep, Dickerson, MD. and Miss Devella Darnell, Dungannon; seven sons, Hudson Darnell, Rev. Walker B. Darnell, and David Darnell, all of Dungannon, James Lee Darnell, Johnson City, Early C. Darnell, Jr., Wabash, Ind.,Otis and Billy Ray Darnell both of Gate City, 30 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren; two half sisters, Mrs. Agnes Casteel, and Mrs. Asia Flanary, both of Gate City. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. tomorrow at Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Eckel and the Rev. Mack Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Holston View Cemetery. |
