Turner The weight of the world on your shoulders I know it's a hard load to bear A bouquet of flowers to your door Just to let you know that I care And if there's a time when you need me Know that I'll always be there 'Cause we've been friends for so long And you've helped me through some hard times Then you wiped away my tears You've been my friend when others turned away Took my hand and held it tight To make sure that I wasn't swayed And though miles may come between us I am only a phone call away When you need someone to trust Life is giving you some hard times Seems like they're not gonna end Step back and look at all that you have Remembering where you have been And if you need reassurance Know that I am your friend The Lord knows how much you mean to me And that soon these troubles will end A smile will return to your face While your heart starts to mend So rest your weary body for now You can always rely on your friend © John David Turner |
