Keeping and Caring of Fighters
Keeping and caring for fighters are a little similar to keeping regular plakats.  I find that it is usually good to keep fighters in a  tall 1 gallon jars.  It is believed that keeping the fighters in tall jars and feeding them sinking foods(blackworms) helps train them to stay under the water longer.  This is a plus for when fish lock in fights.  Make sure that the jars are not in direct sunlight.  I normally keep my jars in a quiet, dark, warm area blocked up from all sides.
Feeding should be done every other day.  I feed mine 5 to 7 black worms every other day.  This type of feeding helps to reduce fat and gives the fish a good routine.
The fighter should be kept in Almond Leaf Water.  Keeping the fighter in ALW will help to harden the scale coating.  ALW also provides an Anti-Bacteria and Anti-Fungus into the water which helps prevent sickness.

This is how my Fighters are kept healthy and happy.  I also use the above to help with recovery and fin growth.  It seems to work best.
