Trapt is made up of Chris Brown, Simon Ormandy, Peter Charell and Aaron Montgomery.This Alternative band from Los Gatos, California have been together since the mid-1990's. When they were still in High School they recorded a demo cd which led them to open for acts such as Papa Roach. In 1999 they self-released a second album, Amalgamation. All the members at this time were attending college. Ormandy and Brown were attending UC Santa Barbara, while Charell studied several hours away at UC Santa Cruz. The band wouldn't let distance stop them, meeting on weekends for rehersals and shows. Eventually all the members dropped out of college and moved to Los Angeles to focus solely on Trapt. Warner Bros. offered the band a record deal after a benefit concert for September 11th, and in Spring 2004 the bands self-titled album Trapt was released.
I automatically liked the song Headstrong, but was hesitant on buying the cd. I have bought too many cd's and only ended up liking one song. Then I heard Echo and decieded to buy it. Since then, it's ended up being on of my favorite cd's, and I hope I can see them in concert sometime! |
