| If you are one that can't seem to grasp the obvious, this is a listing of concerts I've been to. (Or was supposed to go to.) By looking at the events, you can tell that I am one who likes many types of music. (NO COUNTRY!) The band/group/person who I went to see (as in "forget Sister Hazel - gimmie Nine Days), is underlined. |

| Destiney's Child 8/11/00 County Fair (Hey - it was close, cheap-ish, and my first concert EVER. What do you want?) SR-71/Nine Days/Sister Hazel (MTV Campus Invasion) : 1/25/01 FSU Wink Arena (I bought tickets to this because my boyfriend wanted to go. I didn't really know the two first bands. After this concert I turned into a big fan of Nine Days.) Black Eyed Peas/Christina Aguilera/Justin Timberlake (Stripped/Justified) : 6/23/03 Pepsi Center Denver,CO. (Yes. I drove ALL that way -all in one shot- to see her!) Black Eyed Peas/Christina Aguilera/Justin Timberlake (Stripped/Justified) : 7/25 /03 Palace of Auburn Hills (HAD to go again. This time w/Sparkles. Sold out show - extremely close floor seats :) ) Copeland/Switchfoot (The Beautiful Letdown) : 4/10/04 The Orbit Room (My first GA concert. Not bad. I had never heard of Copeland before... Both bands put on a great show and I LOVE SWITCHFOOT!) Godsmack/Metallica (Madly In Anger W/the World) : 4/29/04 Van Andel Arena (I got invited to this @ the last minute. I went with 6 guys all heavy into Metallica. It was... interesting. It was a good show, though. Thanks to Eli for inviting me - specially with only knowing me for a week!) Blessid Union of Souls - CANCELLED: 6/18/04 Peabody's Downunder Damnit! Three plus hour drive and they cancel at the last possible minute! My mommy and I stayed to watch the 7 local bands perform however. Most of them were really good and I am glad we went/stayed. Musical highlights included: Party Bear, Money for Gyros, Another Found Self and American Cherry. Chingy/Christina Aguilera - CANCELLED : 6/28/04 Gund Arena (Cancelled. What a bunch of crap! I was so looking forward to seeing her for the third time!! Especially after getting up at 7AM to be able to get Chris and I floor seats again. Chris and I ended up getting Evanescence tickets with our refunded $...) Puddle of Mudd/3 Doors Down/Nickelback : 7/6/04 DTE (This is Sparkles' Birthday present from me. Puddle of Mudd were good ((started out with 'She F***ing Hates Me')), 3 Doors Down ROCKED! I can't explain! They did three songs from their upcoming cd ((Fathers' Son is great)) and during one song, the lead singer came into the crowd and was ten feet from me! Nickelback were good also (they did an awesome cover of 'Sad But True'), but they disappointed me. Throwing beer bombs into the crowd, pulling one guy from the crowd to do a drinking contest with Chad and telling people to light up the special cigs. they snuck in. ((which they did and Sparkles got a contact high)). Bitchin' concert, though! Breaking Benjamin/Three Days Grace/Seether//Evanescence : 7/15/04 DTE (Chris & I transferred our refund from the Chingy/Christina concert to this. Thanks to two accidents on the highway and a bunch of other fun obstacles, we only heard the last song of Breaking Benjamins set. 3 Days Grace were good - Seether I only knew afew songs ((Including Broken which they did with Amy!!)) but Evanescence kicked azz! They are amazing! One idiot jumped on stage during the last song (minus encore) and got jumped -- what an ass!) Linkin Park//Korn//Snoop Dogg//The Used//Less Than Jake (Projekt Revolution) : 7/26/04 DTE (I bought two tickets to this sold-out show the day before the concert. I just wanted to see Linkin Park!! My enemy was there too :P I drug my mom to this, since it was last minute and I know she loved all the groups :) We did have alot of fun thought, Mike touched me twice (i luv him) and I got a guitar pick from Less Than. Korn did "Word Up" and "Brick in the Wall". Mom thought one of the guys from Korn was foxxy See my seats??) Paul Thorn//Huey Lewis and the News : 7/ /04 DTE (The best concerts are the free concerts I always say... My mom and I found free passes to this concert, so we drug Sparkles along. Out of all the concerts I've been to at DTE, this was my first on the hill. Actually it was a pretty good concert and Sparkles and I found it comical because we grew up on that music. I got to meet Paul - pretty cool guy) Patrick Davis//Hootie and the Blowfish : 9/6/04 DTE (Ok - I know I am gonna get laughed at for this one. Oh well - my mom LOVES this group - has since they came out in the early 90's. I got an email from Ticketmaster 'Don't miss Hootie...", so I bought two Pavilion tickets for her for her Birthday in October. Last year I sent her to Hall and Oates... I am sucha sweet child. Anyway - the concert was good and I got to meet Pat, who I am in contact with still via emails - go check him out and tell him I sent ya!) Honorary Title//The Format//Switchfoot : 10/22/04 Detroit State Theatre (It's fitting isn't it? The last concert of the year was also my first... I got right up front for Switchfoot and loved it. There was alot more people at this one now that they are more widely known. Go Switchfoot!) Papa Roach//The F-Ups: 3/16/05 The Bijou (Bought tickets for Valentines Day for my ex, broke up with him, took another friend instead and now I luv Papa Roach. Worked out Ok :) ) Maroon Five//The Donnas: 4/14/05 (History is made by marking my first concert with Eric. I am not that into the Donna's (whose guitar player was so smashed she couldn't even join Maroon 5 for a final song "Highway to Hell" to signify their last show together). But, Maroon KCKD AZZ! I want them to come out with a new album -- NOW!) Crossfade//Seether: 7/15/05 Common Ground (I like Crossfade alot more now that I've seen 'em live. I didn't really like Common Ground, though. They shove you in a little outdoor area, surrounded by dumb ass people... And I had to leave before Seether came out. Ugh! I hate them! Eric was a little irritated that I wanted to go, but he found out why later...) Sleeping at Last//Switchfoot: 8/9/05 County Fair (I go to Detroit to see 'em, to Grand Rapids ... and then they come to me. Typical. They actually FINALLY sang my song though! On Fire.) Aphasia//Blindside//Trapt: 10/8/05 Harpos (Took Eric and Sparkles to this one. Trapt is my #1 group. Sparkles and I scoured all over trying to see when they were touring in the past - no luck. They are so damn loud! Ahhh!! We all got a shit load of goodies from their show. Blindside was... interesting. Jumping and kicking around like no one's buisness... ) Gatsby's American Dream//Lovedrug//Matchbook Romance: 11/2/05 St. Andrews Hall (I love tha fact that I have been so lucky with my concerts. All the bands I've seen (that I care about) have been awesome live (so far, knock on wood). I have wanted to see Matchbook since I got their first cd. All the bands were good (LOVEDRUG!!). And I got to meet the lead singer from Love,Gatsbys, and a few of the band members of Matchbook. A new cd from them is coming soon ;) ) 10 Seconds to Mars (CANCELLED)//Seether//Audioslave: 11/9/05 St. Joe's Arena (Here is where Eric felt my pain. Seether opened for Audioslave. Note to the lead singer: MOVE AROUND! TALK TO THE AUDIENCE! MAKE YOUR SONGS SOUND DIFFERENT SO THEY DON'T DROWN IN TOGETHER! Horrible! Audioslave rocked - even for 50 year old guys jamming out! Yeah - Like a Stone.) Soulive//Dave Matthews Band: 12/3/05 Deltaplex (Word to the wise: if you ever go here, make sure you have floor seats. I spent a LOT of $$ on these tickets for Eric's B-day gift (his favorite band) and we were seated next to a bunch of drunk people who were just there to talk. All the way in the back. Needless to say we couldn't hear all to well) Default//Trapt//Nickelback: 2/13/06 VanAndel (You always love going to a show where you are excited to see the opening band just as much as the headliners. Then through in an added surprise (Default) and it's a perfect concert. Tru that I had seen two of these groups before... ) Trapt: 2/18/06 Harpos (5 days after they open, they headline. We got to meet them this time - very nice guys. I don't really like Harpos, though. Never leave a place and feel like you've accomplished something by not getting robbed or vandalized.) Coil//In This Moment//Powerman 5000: 2/25/06 Harpos (And still we go back. I bought these at the Trapt show cuz they had discounted tickets if you bought them that night. I figured I had already gotton Eric tickets to see Rob Zombie, might as well see his brother. I had never really heard their music before. They were good, so was In This Moment. The lead singer reminded me of the lead of Lacuna Coil. She was really nice when I met her, too.) As I Lay Dying//Evansblue//From Satellite//Taproot: 3/24/06 Headliners (Another one of those all-around awesome concerts! Only complaint: they had VERY limited quantity on the Evansblue merch. We were there for Taproot, but Eric and I are Evansblue fans, too. Eric met/got autograph from lead of From Satellite, and we got autographed stuff from Evans. and Tap. :) ) Lacuna Coil//Rob Zombie: 4/7/06 State Theater (Weird seating, but effective. I am not huge into Rob, but he does put on a good show. (Full of naked boobies) He was on his Educated Horses tour. Lacuna Coil was awesome to see. I know they are going to be at Ozzfest, but... I dunno about $85 to go to that...) Hinder//Theory of a Dead Man: 5/18/06 Pierre's (One of those shows in which people demonstrate just how ass-holish and rude they can be. Dick weeds aside, though -- Theory was awesome. Hinder was good - what I could see standing on a chair. Eric was psyched cuz we met the band, got autographs, and I bought the item of the night: an autographed drum cover.) Sinbad: 5/20/06 Andiamo Celebrity Showroom (My first real comedy show. I have always thought Sinbad was funny. Very classy place - which I didn't expect - with valet and all that jazz. I think we were the only ones there in jeans. Another example of jamming people in a small room. I loved it though, and I really wish he would have stayed on longer... then the 2.5 hours that he did... ) Eddie Money: 5/26/06 DTE (My first concert of '06 at DTE and it was Eddie Money. Considering we almost didn't get there thanks to GD Detroit traffic. I bought these tickets for my mommy for Mothers Day. She was rockin' - and we got upgrades to Pavillion so we were pretty close. His daughter came on and sang a few - pretty good. He is so old now!! And it was comical to see all those old (er) folks freaking out at the merch. stand to meet the band. FYI: YES. We did get mom autographs.) Three Days Grace: 6/8/06 Pierre's (I saw them again :) This time right before the release of their new cd One X. I pre-ordered it while I was there and got a cd single of The Animal I Have Become. And, after the show I got to meet all the band members and have them autograph it. From the Three Days Grace tour diary: "... we also just did a headlining show in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the legendary "Pierre's". It was our first show in Ft. Wayne, it was nearly sold-out, which we were stoked about. The fans were awesome...") Toby Lightman//Jewel//Rob Thomas: 6/15/06 DTE (Rob - you are SO lucky you are worth it! Horrible traffic (again), and having to sit through Jewel yodel -- yes, yes... YODEL. MAKE IT END!! He was good, though. Too bad us lowely hill-side-seaters couldn't see his face 'cuz they didn't have the screens going. They will on Eddie Money -- but not Rob Thomas. His merch. was expensive, too. A few days after his show I read an article that after that tour he was ending his solo career. (Probably his covers of David Bowe songs got to him.) ) The Eels: 6/18/06 St. Andrews Hall (The No Strings Attatched Tour had only been going on since May 25th. They played a set so long it was almost dragging. I dunno who the opener was - some local guy. :/ They were good - don't get me wrong - and entertaining. They came out in weird ass costumers (hard hats and aviator goggles) and Al was karate chopping like a mad man. They probably did 20 songs -- and NOT the one I wanted :( Your goddamn right it's a beautiful day! ) Halestorm//Evansblue//Shinedown//Trapt: 7/15/06 Pierre's (Can you already tell I'm excited??) Vans Warped Tour 2006: 7/29/06 Bands playing: 18 Visions, Adair, Against Me!, Aiden, Alexisonfire, Anti-Flag, Armor for Sleep, Billy Talent, Bouncing Souls, Britt Black, Bullet For My Valentine, Cartel, Classic Crime, Down to Earth Approach, Eight Fingers Down, Emanuel, Emery, Every Time I Die, Ferus, Final Round, Flash Bathory, From Autumn to Ashes, Gatsby's American Dream, Greeley Estates, Gym Class Heroes, Handcuffs and Heals, He is Legend, Hellogoodbye, Helmet, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Kara Dupuy, Less Than Jake, Lorene Drive, Manic Sewing Circle, Misery Signals, Moneen, Motion City Soundtrack, Mute Math, My American Heart, NOFX, Patent Pending, Pistolita, Protest the Hero, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Rise Against, Saves The Day, Saves The Day (Acoustic), Secret Lives of the Free Masons, Senses Fail, Senses Fail (Acoustic), Shiragirl, Silverstein, So They Say, Split Fifty, Street Drum Corps, Stretch Arm strong, The Academy Is..., The Audition, The Blackout Pact, The Bled, The Casualties, The Early November, The Fold, The Fully Down, The Living End, The Modern Day Saint, The Pink Spiders, The Smashup, The Sounds, The Sunstreak, The Vincent Black Shadow, Thursday, Tip The Van, Underoath, Valient Thorr, Vaux, We Are the Fury, Zebrahead. Seether//Crossfade: 8/9/06 Ohio State Fair ('Cuz we can't get away from fucking Seether!! But this show'll be right in time for Crossfade's new cd :) |
