Tom Atha, Chris Wolford, Brandon Austin, Ed Davis, Mike Wyatt and Jordan Powel make up American Cherry, a band based out of Ohio. In fact, all five of the twenty-something guys were born and raised there. Still basicly a localy known band, they are working hard at getting their name out. Performing with artists including Blues Traveler and Guest as well as playing at local Universitys and Fraternity events. You can also catch them performing at venues including Polaris Ampitheater, Peabody's and Newport Music Hall.
American Cherry has gained heavy support from Decent Xposure, based out of New York. That, in addition to being added to such websites as dmbsource.com and discoveringartists.com has them well on their way to nation-wide fame.

| I just recently found out about this group. They were to play with a favorite band of mine, Blessid Union of Souls. Unfortunatly, BUOS cancelled. Having driven over three hours to get to the show, I stayed for the other shows. There were seven groups, American Cherry playing last. They were awesome and I was instantly hooked. I bought their independantly released cd, Soulstice and love it. I really think everyone should give them a listen, because soon you'll be seeing them everywhere! (And I am not basing this on the fact that we all have the same home state.) |
