    Jazzy_T Newsletter

Hi there all.  I know it's been along time since the last newsletter.  And this one by no means makes up for it.  Perhaps some day when I actually have a whole lot of time, I will actually sit down and publish a full new edition.  Until then, just be patient with me.  For now, enjoy and read this one.  Talk to ya later.

The Latest News.

Well hello there everybody!
Here are some of the latest developments:

- I finished off my first year at UBC with a 70% average.  I could have done much better, but there is always next year.  I failed Calculus II unfortunately.  Good news-- I was elected House President for my Dorm Residence at Place Vanier.  This does NOT mean that I'm necessarily heading into Politics -- Chemistry is still my destiny.

- YES! I am still playing the saxophone, and doing some acting too...  I study with Stan Karp of Capillano College privately, and you can find me down at the Cellar Jazz Club the odd Saturday night on West 12th taking in the music.  As for stage... at the end of my exams, Ms. Brown-Evans asked if it were possible for me to fill in for one of her actors on the final performance date of ROMEO & JULIET, because the regular had another engagement.  I happily accepted, and got to act one last time at MSS along side my buddies Peter and Kapil during their final performance.  (as it were, Toby was there too, but he will probably be seen doing what I did this year, next year: making a guest appearance).

- For the summer, I have had the greatest two jobs a guy could ask for: I work nights and weekends at the Famous Players SilverCity Mission Theatre, and full-time during the weekdays for Abbotsford Community Services at the Abby-Mission Recycling Programme doing research and development.  This summer has been the best of my life and I consider myself very blessed.  Sorry to those of you I haven't spend much time with, as my schedule called on me to work about 60 hours per week!  But the money is good, even if my school takes it all anyways.  Well!  So is life, as they say...

- This coming September I'm back into the swing of things on campus at UBC, for those of you who are interested, I have attached / linked a copy of my Course Schedule to this document.  Chem, History, Music, and unfortunately-- Math.  And then clubs, councils and intramurals to boot... What can I say?  I've always been a busy guy.

- For the time being, I can be contacted at my Mom's place in Abbotsford at 604.504.7567.  For September though, I plan on acquiring a cell phone (even though I detest those darned things).  So, that number is on the way... In the meantime -- and always is the case anyways -- the best bet to contact me is at my email address: [email protected].
- When emailing me, so that I don't overlook it sometimes, try typing ATTN TREVOR in the Subject Line.

TREVOR's ANNUAL AUGUST INVITE (Pool BBQ Party)!
(headings and graphics completely ripped off last year's invitation).

Greetings

Allow me to extend this invitation to cordially request your attendances to my

Good-bye Get-together

Farewell Festivity Fling

Bon Voyage Bash

Sayonara Squantum

Adieu Assembly

Cio Contesseration

Cheerio-Jamboree

In any event...

Sunday the 25th of August 2002, I would be delighted to have you, my very close friends, gift me with your company for an afternoon preceding our destined departures back to school, work, bed, et cetera.

The pool side dinner party will be held at the residence of my grandparents:

Bill & Diane Barry

11696 - 218th Street

Maple Ridge, British Columbia

The show starts around 11 o'clock or noon, so as to get as much pool-time as possible.
Food, drinks, and entertainment will be provided -- Towels, lotion, and suits will not;  Remember to bring these things.

If you wish to bring some things to add, go right ahead -- photo albums perhaps?

Sorry guys, but due to the nature of this party and concerns I have heard from others, Please don't bring any alcohol to the pool... Thank-you much-ly for this consideration.

This invitation is being extended too many people, so don't feel obligated, this isn't some popular high school party: I won't be hurt if you can't make it.

If you can make it though, please just let me know -- my contact numbers are listed below.

Come for as long or as little as you feel like, again: no worries eh.

PARKING!!! the only problem last year, which I foresee much worse this year, is Parking.
- My grandparents live on a dead end street -- there isn't much space on the street nor in the driveway... What I suggest is that you carpool as tight as you can, and park either at the Panago Parking lot at the end of the street on the highway, or even further down the highway at blockbuster, etc.
- To assist you with this very realistic problem (I'm sorry), I have appended maps and directions to this document.

Please reply back soon,
RSVP ASAP.

 Yours Truly,

~ Trevor A. Barry ~

How to receive back-orders of «Jazzy_T»

I've updated my send out list.  If you are new, and wish to receive a copy of issues 1 through 4... just send me an email.  Perhaps make the Subject line read: [ Oh esteemed Trevor, please be so kind as to...]  (or not)!

Otherwise, I post all these issues as HTML docs on my homepage.

Static Microphone: That's all for this edition [cue scary music] but tune in next time for another version of... «Jazzy_T» [fade out]...

Basically, after you've passed the Maple Ridge Baptist Church on 220th heading East on the Lougheed Hwy (Tommys is on your right when you are waiting at the light), look out ahead for the PANAGO Pizza mall (small) on the left (218th)... If you can find a parking spot there, in the back maybe, just walk down the street and the last house on the LEFT is the place!  Big Green house, lots or big plants, carport.

Behind it is the pool, at the back of the carport, left side of house.

Call me it you have any concerns.

The number there is 604.467.2024... but only call me there THAT DAY...
better thought: call my cell phone, (I'll have it by then, hopefully).
