Our son Yanick at Düsseldorf Hbf

On August 8th we went from Düsseldorf to Bozen (Bolzano) by car train. DB Autozug had a special last minute offer: book within a week before departure for a  50% reduction. We tried and tried, but only 4 days before departure they would give us the 50% (Yeah: we're Dutch!) The first week we spent in a cottage at Il Pogetto  campground about 30 Km south of Firenze.

                                      Firenze: Ponte Vecchio (August 11th)

A warning: In Firence we parked our car and suddenly there was this man with a parking ticket for us "Two hours?"  he asked, finally we wanted to pay for 3 hours. When we came back to our car , we had a fine: this man was not authorised to sell parking-tickets (we now know)
