Algebra II
Students can write one paper per semester on a famous mathematician of their choice.
It is worth 50 points (all extra credit *if done correctly)
Must be: 2 typed pages in length, 12 pt Times new Roman font, one inch margins, double spaced and ALL sources cited
Should include (but not limited to) history, one story, why they are famous, and major accomplishments (ie awards, etc.)
Topics possible: Archimedes, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Pythagoras (of Samos), Rene Descartes, Gottfreid Leibniz, Leonard Euler, Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Gauss, Sophie Germain, Maria Agnesi, Pierre de Fermat, Leonardo Fibonacci, or other pre-approved people.
